Lake Lure will not be accessible during the summer and fall of 2025 due to ongoing cleanup and restoration efforts. The lake has been drawn down approximately 30 feet, and all water-based recreation will be closed for the season. While the water may be resting, the restaurants, shops, hiking trails, golf courses, and resort amenities are still open and thriving. Your visit helps support the local community as we recover and rebuild. We warmly welcome you to experience the charm and beauty of the Lake Lure area during this time.

Inside, you’ll find soaring 17-foot vaulted ceilings, warm wood accents, and a bright, open floor plan that invites you to unwind. The great room centers around a majestic stone fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings and movie nights. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals, complete with modern appliances, ample counter space, and a dining table ideal for gathering together.

The wraparound porch is a true highlight, furnished for outdoor lounging and featuring a gas grill for alfresco dining and sunset barbecues. Downstairs, the game room and home gym provide endless entertainment with a foosball table, game table, smart TV, and exercise equipment. The loft upstairs doubles as a reading nook or kid-friendly hangout, complete with a TV and vintage VHS player for nostalgic movie marathons.

Things to Know:
Lake Lure Notice: Pontoon and non-motorized vessels may be no longer than 28 ft; ski, deck, or fishing boats may be no longer than 21 ft.
Watercraft Rentals: Available locally, Memorial Week–Thanksgiving, when the lake is open.
Check-in: 4:00 p.m. | Check-out: 10:00 a.m.
Quiet hours: 10:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.
No smoking anywhere on the property.
All guests must follow Vacasa’s Good Neighbor Policy and avoid illegal activity.

A starter kit is provided: dish soap, sponge, dishwasher and laundry packets, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom.

Rumbling Bald Guest Passes:
Pick up passes daily between 8:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. at Guest Services (Legends on the Lake lobby).
The reservation holder must be present to collect passes.
Please submit guest information at least 5 days before arrival to prevent delays.
Passes are required for all guests age 12 and over.
Replacement fee: $50 per pass.
