Experience peace and relaxation just steps from Lake Ontario with your own private waterfront getaway. Take a stroll off the break wall steps and sink your feet into the sandy bottom of Lake Ontario, or wander over to our neighborhood beach less than 5 minutes away.
Complete with sunrises, sunsets, and the sounds of waves crashing, our home is the perfect waterfront retreat to lay low and relax.
What a great space, great views of the lake, ample room to spread out and a perfect kitchen to cook your meals in. It was nice to have this between and after games. Weather hanging by the couch watching the games of sitting around the table playing cards, this was the perfect house for my group. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home on the lake.
We had 8 people in for a family wedding and the house was a great size for that. Also having 3 full bathrooms was great.
It would have been nice for the bedroom windows to have blinds or some kind of window treatments, both for privacy and for those who wish to sleep in.
We needed a place for ten people, short order, due to a family death. This place was perfect. It was super clean, but relaxed; well appointed and kid proof. Dave was super responsive and was a real pleasure to work with. We loved waking up to the lake every morning. Weâd definitely stay here again.
It is a beautiful location. It was extremely quiet. We didnât see another person The whole time we were there. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. It was perfect for a family gathering with a big family. We hope to stay here again when we visit our son at RIT again.
3 out of 5. The Good (4's and 5's) = location, roominess, nearby attractions, access to the lake, sunrises/sunsets, well-stocked kitchen and laundry area. Dave was a good host, but we had trouble communicating.
The "less than" good (2's and 3's which can all be fixed) = no gas for the grill, dryer did not heat up, holes in the screens left a house full of bugs, outside areas were "shabbily" landscaped.
Having relatives nearby took care of most of the issues for us, but someone without those contacts could've had a tougher time of it.
Stayed here to visit our son in college with extended family -- property is in a solid location with great lake access. The area is a bit distant from Rochester proper (15 minutes or so) but that could be a positive if you are trying to get away. Property owner was super responsive.
Only downside to the location was there were no window coverings/shades at all -- so when the sun came up it got bright very quickly and was difficult to sleep. Additionally, there were a lot of bugs -- some screens were torn so they got in the house. Spiderwebs and cobwebs were also present in some spots. Landscape (lawn and surroundings) seem a bit neglected. Still -- some of these things are expected for a vacation house on a lake. Would still recommend!
Thank you for your interest in our listing! My wife and I love to travel, but sometimes the timing doesn't work out when work and life share the same schedule. So we did the next best thing and bought a house that felt like vacation instead. Now we make awesome lake front memories whenever we can, and share the opportunity with other folks coming to the area!
Waterfront with steps to access the lake directly from the break wall. Less than a 5 minute walk to a local beach. Adjacent to great fishing, hiking, and birdwatching at local parks and wildlife preserve areas.
