We had an absolutely amazing stay here at Gypsy By the Bay. Tracy and Bruce were exceptional hosts and very friendly. The property is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we could have needed. We will definitely be coming back again.
The property is beautiful. Located out of town so it is quiet and peaceful. Inside was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. The property owners were helpful and friendly and gave us strawberries from their garden. Kids and adults both agreed we'd love to stay here longer. We would defintely stay again.
The place was very comfortable and the view was spectacular. I would have liked some sugar for coffee and the upstairs neighbors were a little noisy but it was all in all a very pleasant stay.
Tracy was a wonderful host and right on top of communicating with us. The apartment is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again. The wine, teas and coffee were lovely.
Very Appreciative of Tracyâs Home. Tracy was Available and Helpful. Beautiful Home and View
Appreciated getting to spend time with my Brother in such a Beautiful Environmentđ
Tracyâs place is spectacular! The house, the views, the garden and the hospitality. We were welcomed with wine, coffee for breakfast and a lovely soap set to keep for ourselves. Tracy is a warm and gracious hostess, happy to help with anything.
Tracy is a gracious and thoughtful host who made sure our stay was stress free and relaxing. The rental was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed. We felt a great home vibe. Relaxing on the deck and listening to the birds was wonderful after a day of hiking. The setting is out in nature yet close enough to Coos Bay and North Bend. We will be returning for sure.
Close enough to town, far enough for peace and quiet
This property is amazing. Beautiful views. Clean, wonderful ammenities, and fantastic hosts. Tracy and Bruce are friendly and welcoming. I was greeted with a smile, given fresh produce that was harvested, and shown nothing but kindness. Thank you for allowing us to stay there!
We spent 2 weeks in this lovely space. The space is beautiful and the hosts are the best. Everything you need is provided. They gave us fresh herbs from the garden and a wonderful bottle of wine. The views from the deck were amazing. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows around the fire pit every night. The sunsets were spectacular. Lots of great things to see near by. You will love it!!
Our family stayed a couple nights to experience the Coos Bay area. The location is great and very quiet. The host was very accommodating and available if we needed her. There were a few games available for our kids which they enjoyed.
We were also able to see a family of deer walking by a couple days which excited the kids.
Even though the property manager lives above the space, you would never know. The space is very quiet and is fully equipped with everything you would need.
If we are back in the area on vacation, we will look at this property for availability.
Property looked mostly like the picture. It was the bottom floor of a 2 story structure with the owners living above.
The master bedroom had a queen size bed that was VERY high and had a 2 step stool provided to get in and out of it. It was workable for us, but it would not be for everyone.
The property is also a few miles from the main road, which makes it nice & quiet, but adds travel time and miles to go and see the sights in the area. Also of note is that the indoor and outdoor eating areas both have higher chairs, not so good for small children.
The space was very roomy and comfortable with lots of games to do onsite and information on the surrounding area. We loved the outdoor table to eat at and the fire pit for roasting marshmallows!
Stayed here for a couple nights with my sister and our elderly mom on a "gals trip" down the coast. It was a very comfortable spot, nicely decorated, with a "tucked away" quiet vibe and a pleasant view. We liked that it was close enough to town but away from the bustle. We enjoyed leisurely meals on the deck. Tracy gave us a warm welcome (and a bottle of Oregon Pinot, which was a nice touch) and was around to answer any questions we had, as she lives above the rental unit. My mom is mobility challenged, so our only struggle was that the queen bed we'd planned for her to sleep in was very high. There's a 2-step step stool provided on each side, which would work for most people, but not for someone who uses a walker and struggles with stairs. It worked out ok since we just switched to have her stay in the room with two twins and my sister and I shared the queen bed. Not a drawback to the property, just something others may find helpful to know.
I am originally from Fargo ND and Bruce is from Shreveport LA. We met in California and moved to Oregon to find the perfect property to spend the rest of our lives thoroughly enjoying our space. I love working in my garden providing food for our family and friends. Bruce loves to write and play music in the trees near the water. We love meeting new people and taking care of them during their vacations and specials events.
