Tucked in town on a hilltop, you can view the ocean from upstairs. The many windows of the sunporch bring glorious light for sipping your morning tea or coffee. A picnic table allows you to eat while viewing the Atlantic, and a short walk will take you to downtown Water Street shops, a library, Farmer's Market (Sat.), and a grocery store!
Great old, beautiful house in a perfect location. We had a great time, but if we were plus sized people, that shower would have been VERY small. (That's something I'd want to know before I stayed there.) The shower nozzle seemed broken, but we had to move the lever completely over to "shower" and then it was much better.
We enjoyed staying in Lubec. We were within walking distance of grocery, restaurants, brewery, pizza and ice cream as well as water front and Mowry beach. Lubec is a small town that is fun to walk around. The Lubec area is great if you like to walk/day hike and kayak. We also enjoyed going across the bridge to Campobello Island in Canada which has great parks and wild beaches. The house is light and cheery. It is old fashioned but functional. There are good views of the water from upstairs. The bedrooms are small and there are no dressers but there are closets. The downstairs has a good living room area and the kitchen worked well. For us, the only drawback was the parking. It is very tight if you have a large vehicle.
Like so many houses in Lubec, this one is pretty bare bones. It's spacious, and we made good use of the recliners in the living room. But the beds are basic, the shower is like an MRI it's so narrow, and the kitchen was very unrewarding to cook in--dull knives, limited counter space, flimsy cookware. It's very convenient and situated in a little hilltop community with lots of dogs which we liked. For Lubec, this is honestly one of the better houses, but I think the kitchen could do with a serious glow-up. Check-in was easy, property manager and owner super accommodating, and cleanliness A-1.
The house was super cozy, and in a perfect location relative to Lubec. Very quiet and scenic part of Maine. Host was excellent and reasonable. Overall an amazing experience, will be returning in the future.
Charming Boho stay smack dab in the center of Lubec. Walked to a wonderful whale watching tour, coffee shop, craft pizza dinner. Friendly people and amazing vibes.
Our host was communicative, flexible and forgiving.
Will be visiting again.
This house was great for a week attending the Summerkeys music workshop in mid-August. The house is set behind several other houses on a hill, so the views are nothing special. But it was close to where I needed to be every day and it was generally quiet. I enjoyed having a whole house to ourselves. Good value.
Quiet cottage conveniently located in downtown Lubec. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials to cook. The house was very clean and we enjoyed our stay!

I'm Laurie, your property manager. Welcome to our slice of paradise. Everybody needs a Lubec: a serene ocean experience with all the beautiful nature spots. That's why we moved here, and that is why I adore renting properties to people from away.
