Great cottage, great location, great scenery! This place has it all. If you're looking to stay in the area, this is the place to consider! Very clean and cute decor. Feels like you're at home. Close to all the fun activities to check out while Downeast. Amazing deck views as well as beautiful gardens and large yard to play in. Hopefully we can make this an annual trip! Well worth it! (Even during a nor'easter)
Yes, my cottage is in a beautiful location and very convenient to all there is to do in Lubec! And Canada is close by, too! I'm so glad you felt at home- I try to make everything as comfortable and well-equipped as possible so you can thoroughly enjoy your stay. I look forward to your return! Sincerely, Catherine
Utterly Perfect In Every Way
Lubec Bay Cottage is, without question, the most comfortably and beautifully appointed vacation rental I've ever enjoyed. Catherine, the owner, thought of every single contingency, and the home is idyllic, serene, gorgeous and cozy. It has the most stunning view, two very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, so many different wonderful places to relax and settle in, a beautiful art studio and any information a guest could possibly need about the surrounding areas. AND Catherine had a basket of local goods, fresh flowers and an anniversary card and cake waiting for us! It was a dream and I'm already planning my next trip back.
Hello Meredith! Thank you again for choosing Lubec Bay Cottage for celebrating your anniversary - it is such a compliment! I'm so glad you enjoyed the cottage and all of its amenities. I especially enjoy sharing my gardens with you - they are a passion of mine.
I look forward to hosting you again in the future! Sincerely, Catherine
From the amenities to the little touches, this is the perfect place for a seaside getaway. The cottage is effortlessly cozy. We enjoyed the deck, the beautiful garden, the use of board games and DVDs ... it was simply perfection!
Hi Kathi and Leigh, Thank you for choosing LBC and your complimentary review. I especially enjoyed your photos posted on my Facebook page! I hope you return to Lubec someday! Best, Catherine
As advertised... clean and quiet
Hi Gerry, Yes I don't want my guests to be at all disappointed ... my cottage is as wonderful as it sounds in my advertised description and photos. Thanks again, Catherine
Peace and quiet
This home was everything it looked like in the listing. From the fresh cut flowers to the little goodie bag and fresh produce left at the door step, it was just stellar. This little town was so peaceful and everyone was so nice, we had a great time. Walked the beach and collected so many rocks and sea glass. Hiked for miles and ate some of the best seafood we’ve ever had. We would highly recommend this home and this town.
Hi Danielle, I try to make my cottage as welcoming and homey as it can be, and describe it true to form in my listing. Why wouldn't I - as you say, it is outstanding! :) And, yes the seafood here is scrumptious; there is so much to do; and the people are so friendly ! I look forward to your return someday! Sincerely, Catherine
Coastal Maine at it's best!
We made our choice to stay at Lubec Bay Cottage back in April, and were not disappointed in the least when we finally arrived and spent our 8 nights this October. The only downside I could see was that the weather was a little too cool to spend enjoying the nice deck and balcony and fire pit like we had envisioned. The cottage is wonderful, rustic, peaceful and cozy! We were so comfortable and felt welcome. The Lubec (and Eastport) areas were great to explore and the locals (and tourists) were friendly. There are so many State Parks, wildlife preserves, forests and shorelines that you wouldn't see (or do them) all in 10 years. And fresh seafood is readily available (and cheaply obtained to cook yourself), with reasonably priced restaurants around. We will be coming back again !
Hi Phil and Debbie, Yes, the area is full of places to hike, photograph, and explore, and my cottage is a wonderful home base to return to after a day of adventure in Lubec, Eastport, or Canada. The people are so friendly here and the seafood is spectacular! I thoroughly enjoyed being your host and look forward to your return in September! Take care, Catherine.
