I appreciate that you pointed out some of the good things. I first got a message almost as soon as you got there that there were fingerprints on the fridge and microwave. This alerted me because I had just washed and buffed those and knew there were no fingerprints. Maybe smears from cleaning. No used food was left in fridge, only condiments. Most guests appreciate that. If not they just leave it. The kitchen floor was mopped, maybe didn't dig into the corners this time, but frequently I do. I could have cleaned the stairway better but it was vacuumed. I go over it with a special comb to remove dog hair and I didn't do that this time. The washer is not moldy. If fact we recently took the whole washer apart and cleaned around all the gaskets. It does smell musty and I put a note on the door to leave the door open so it doesn't get musty. Refrigerator had been wiped clean, I admit I didn't wipe out all the floors of the cabinets, that's a seasonal job. I openly disclose that it is a mucky lake. There is a sandy portion by the beach and it is less mucky on the other side of the dock. We are running an Aqua thruster to help get rid of muck, but it will take time (we are new owners). A lot of people swim in the lake nevertheless and the kayaking is awesome! It's been a joy to have this vacation rental with so many people enjoying it and expressing praise for the property. I do always have it very clean and ready. And I do have 63 5 star reviews on a different travel site.
