Stay at a quiet home just outside the city limits in a small subdivision. The deck looks out to the surrounding mountains. Just a few minutes from the City and shopping, restaurants, hot springs pool, hiking trails,
The property was perfect! 4 dirt bike/MTB riders used it as a home base to explore the passes and trails. Carl was great- quick to answer and confirm questions while booking. The house had everything we needed and then some- cooked meals and even did a little laundry, convenient dog run off the dining area/porch, and the dogs loved playing ball in the GIANT front yard while we relaxed on the HUGE front deck (the view is spectacular!). The garage was big enough to park a jeep, 4 dirt bikes, 4 mtb and gear. Wow. There was even a hose and rags to wash off after a very muddy day of riding. This will be our first choice if we ever get the opportunity to come back!
Everything worked as stated. WIFI access was okay but seemed to be slow. Kitchen had everything we needed except a place to put our food stuff we brought or bought. So most had to be stored on the counter. Hammock was not useable as the ropes were broke, appeared to be rotted. Would rent again.
This was the perfect house for our annual Jeep trip! We were able to utilize the garage which was a bonus and there was plenty of room in the driveway to park a couple pickups with trailers. The kitchen was stocked and had absolutely everything you would need for meals. Overall, it was the perfect stay for us! Will definitely be back!
As a wedding photographer, I travel to the area multiple times a year and was lucky enough to have my family come along for this trip. This house had everything we needed for a week-long stay with an infant. We absolutely loved sitting on the porch and playing one of the many board games provided and watching the summer storms pass through. The views are incredible from every angle and the neighborhood is so serene. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and will definitely stay here again! Thank you for everything :)
House was great. The kitchen was well appointed. Family room worked great. Bedrooms were as expected. The communication with the owner were excellent. We were in ouray to off-road and hike. The house location was perfect.
We had a great time.
The house was fantastic with great neighbors. Large driveway for our truck and trailer. Close to adorable town of Ouray. So many OHV trails to explore. You have to trailer your machines to trail heads but it was no problem. We were at the trails by 9 or 10am and had no parking issues. We did Alpine Loop through Corkscrew Gulch, Imogene Pass and others. Drove truck to Silverton for lunch (awesome). Rode trail to Lake City for lunch. House was perfect. Carl was great (thank you). The house had everything we needed. Fantastic time!
First impression: magnificent.
Later some cooking utensils found that should be discarded. Light switches confusing - perhaps name them? Spices etc in cupboards well out of date- needs sorting. Power sockets in master bedroom are controlled by a light switch! Is this to code in Colorado? It isnt in Texas.
Last impression: Hugely enjoyable- especially Ridgeway.
Our group was 3 adults and a dog. We came to run the Imogene Pass race. The house layout, yard ( dog run) and location were perfect. Everything was very clean and accessible. Appreciated to stock of spices for cooking! Highly recommend and will stay again!
Had a great stay at the Flanders House. Beautiful views of the mountains from every angle of the property. Had a family of deer join us for coffee one morning right off the back porch. Plenty of trailer parking for our truck/Jeep. Easy access to many trails and close to downtown Ouray. Would highly recommend and would stay here again.
Great place with everything we wanted or needed maybe not the fanciest or newest but it was clean comfortable and we did not want for anything. Easy check-in and out zero complaints, the listing is exactly spot on and the trailer parking was great too. Loved the deck and yard and what a perfect location!
Our 2nd time to stay at this home. We appreciate so much about it, from it's location, to it's amenities, to the property's ability to let us bring our large trailer (carrying 4 dirtbikes and an ATV). It's fairly centrally located between both Ouray & Ridgway, so you have all the conveniences of those towns close-by. The beds are comfortable, and the size of the home works well for our family of 4. My sons & I enjoyed decompressing after trail rides out on the front lawn playing yard games (supplied by the homeowners), and the incredible views...including amazing star gazing at night. One of our favorite rentals in the San Juans.
The only downside - we were there in August this trip. The home does get pretty warm, and the fans provided do little to cool the home off after a hot day, long into the night. We'll bring portable A/Cs if we have the opportunity to stay again.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Beautiful views, but beware, no AC, listing not entirely accurate.
Well let's start off with the good. Nice house, beautiful views, (stellar really) nice area just far enough out of town, but close enough to do what you want without driving an hour.
The bad: No AC in the house. It's not listed as having or not having AC. Like most, we assumed it did. We unloaded, turned the AC on came back 2 hours later and it was still 80+ degrees in the house. No special instructions about cooling the house, outside of don't leave the house with the windows open, because of bears, and don't leave the windows open all night, again, because of bears. Before contacting the "host" we investigated and found the pad and lines and electrical box for the AC unit, but no unit. We thought maybe the unit had been stolen, but the lines were capped off properly, so it just added to the confusion. Reached out via the links provided and was advised by the host that the house "never had AC" and "It wasn't listed as an amenity". I should point out that the fireplace is listed, but the rules book left in the house states it's not to be used. I of course documented all of this, advised the host I felt mislead, and the host stated he would contact me the next day. He called was extremely rude, said no one in the area has AC (dis-proven by simply looking next door) said "the house never had ac, I watched it being removed." Listing said 2 queen size beds and a King. We found all to be queens. Host stated he wouldn't do anything about it presumably because of the AC debacle.
House worked great for our group. The large yard is amazing. The views are incredible. The kitchen is well stocked, grill worked great, very dog friendly, easy access to Ouray, great communication from property manager (very easy going). Overall, great place to stay.
Pictures do not do justice. This great cabin was just what we needed. Itâs stocked with about everything you would need, super clean, great location and some of the best views. Will for sure rent again. Thanks.
We had a great week off-roading around Ouray. The house was close to town but located in a quiet community.
We had everything we needed. Just like being at home!
