"Lavender on the Farm" You arrive into the little community we have on our farm. Community of neighbors and of farm animals! We have horses, cows, chickens, cats, and friendly farm dogs. Being an organic farm, we also have lots of wildlife and places to explore. Oh, and a garden full of lavender!
We named this downstairs walk out apartment "Lavender on the Farm" because it is so cozy and relaxing. It is the downstairs half of a larger farmhouse. The space is super comfortable and relaxing. You park right in front of the entrance door and there are no stairs. Durango is a short 9 miles / 15 minutes drive away. Come enjoy your farm stay! ~Holly
This property was exactly what we expected. It is located close enough to town to be convenient, yet far enough away to be very quiet. The house furnishings were comfortable, everything was clean and worked as expected. Holly was very quick to answer any questions that we had. Our weeklong stay was very enjoyable.
Very friendly owners nearbyâcharming location surrounded by animals and the beauty of nature. Well appointed insideâwe had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Thank you!!
A little tricky trying to find my way to the back of the driveway/street. What a treat once we did tho. Holly is so nice. Nice spacious 2 bedroom space. getting to pet the horses, donkey, and dog? Great!
This was just what was advertised. A working farm. The animals were nice, and I enjoyed feeding the chickens. Also, the donkey was very verbal when it was time to eat. Had a good time. Thanks.
Location was great. Super quiet and private. Not far from town at all. We got a little turned around and called her. She stayed on the phone while we got into the property. She even loaned me a hair dryer and brought coffee over. We will definitely be back. Super sweet family lives on site. They made sure we didnât need anything.
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Lavender House. There was a little hiccup with checking in but this was quickly remedied. The property is beautiful and set on a working farm. There are horses, donkeys, chickens and dogs. We enjoyed this aspect of the farm. The owner was quick to respond to us but we had very few questions as everything was self-explanatory. The home is very cozy and it was a quick drive to town. We appreciated being out in the country but with the ability to get into Durango easily. I would definitely recommend this property, the views are beautiful and I felt it was a great value.
Extremely comfortable inside. Spacious. Wifi works great. Absolutely everything we needed. So close to city of Durango. Quiet quarters!
Confusing to find, as the street name change, and a gate to go through was a surprise but easy to use. We looked for the site name, Lavender on the farm, to specify the house, but needed to call the remote owner to locate which house and entrance. If you get better instructions, it is a gem!
It was very neat and very clean, but there were also so many special things. The sheets were a soft, tight weave. The towels were nice and thick. There were handmade soaps in the shower. The kitchen pots and cutlery were good quality. We loved the Cuisinart toaster. There was even an apron hanging up which I thought was a nice touch.
The hosts were lovely, not intrusive yet letting us know we could contact them if we needed anything at all. They really cared about making our visit wonderful. And it was a wonderful vacation.
