Summer 2020 vacation

It's been years since we stayed in LBI and we were so happy to be back! This house was perfect for our family vacation. We loved the location, easy for kids to walk back and forth from the beach. The views were amazing from the deck, and the layout of the house was great. Hoping to rent again in the future!

Great location

The home was just what we wanted, well cared for, and it was like having our own private beach. The owner couldn’t be more helpful and responded to a question immediately. Would definitely rent it again.

Great family beach vacation

This was the perfect house for our family vacation. Great location, clean, plenty of space for 2 families and grandparents, and stocked with nice beach chairs and umbrellas. We loved hanging out on the huge decks with views of the ocean and bay. The beach was not crowded at all and a quick walk that we felt comfortable letting the kids go back and forth to the house. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions prior to our stay. We will definitely be back!

We loved our week vacation. We loved the deck with the large table, the upper deck views and the parking availability. Today it seems like everyone brings their own car and there was plenty of room. The view issues we had were promptly taken care of and all and all we love our experiance!!! Thanks again

Really responsive and owners - by VRBO msg, text, and phone... And by sending ppl to fix stuff if needed. Great place with water views. Two decks for sunning. Very tall property - lots of stairs. Good kitchen with amenities. A bit cramped by fridge but otherwise good Clean big bedrooms

As all residents and tourists in LBI and southern NJ experienced on 7/1/2024, there was unprecedented rainfall. When the tenant notified us of the wet floors and plumbing issue in the outdoor shower, we immediately contacted our property manager who swiftly prioritized the tenant’s needs. We had cleaners arrive with a wet vac within an hour to dry up the floors, and sent a plumber to rectify plumbing issues with the outdoor shower. Future tenants can take comfort that we rely on an efficient property manager who resides on LBI to assist with inconveniences caused by unexpected events out of property owner’s control (such as weather).

Neglected & Shabby

We had high expectations when we saw photos of the property and how close to the beach it was. Unfortunately, the house has been neglected and not maintained. Carpets and furniture were stained. Some pieces of furniture were in need of repair. Additionally, many rooms need re-painting. That would not have been so bad if the cleanliness of the house had been up to basic standards. I spent the the first two days cleaning pots, pans, cooking & eating utensils, glassware and dishes - many of which were put away in the cabinets and drawers dirty and greasy. The oven, stove top, refrigerator shelves, drawers and cabinet shelves all needed to be cleaned. Bathrooms seemed to have been wiped around, but on further inspection, toilets were soiled and required scrubbing and disinfecting. The outdoor garbage and recycling cans were filled to overflowing and left uncovered. The untied bags sent trash all over the yard during a rain and wind storm. We had to wait several days until the regularly scheduled trash removal made it possible for us to cover the cans. It is a shame the house has been neglected, because it has the potential to be an ideal vacation spot.

I have read your review on VRBO and am deeply disappointed in your impression of my home. I take pride in the cleanliness and maintenance of the property. If you were unhappy with the condition of the property, it was your responsibility to contact me immediately. Although I am not in the area, I do have someone that is on call at all times to inspect and repair any situations. If the plates, utensil, pots and pans, oven, stovetop, refrigerator and bathrooms were not up to your standards, you should have notified me and I would have resent the cleaning crew who would have recleaned up to your standards under your supervision. I have beautiful hardwood floors throughout the house with few area rugs. There is no extensive carpet in the house. If there was furniture that was in need of repair, a photo should have been taken and sent to us immediately. Unfortunately, the time you spent there, there were many rainy and windy days. You arrived on Saturday and trash collection days are on Tuesday and Thursday. Prior to your stay, you contacted my manager many times for information in which she graciously took the time to send you. You were sent information that clearly stated emergency numbers in case there was a problem.

The location was perfect. The space around the home was great for grilling and hanging around the fire pit at night. First floor apartment was a great place for the teens and kids to hang giving the adults privacy 2 stories upstairs. Third floor living area made for lots of stairs throughout the day but just an issue with my mother in law's one day visit. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time there and would return. Thanks

New Years Break

Spacious and clean living, sleeping and outdoor areas, allowing for excellent opportunities to socialize in separate groups. The 3rd floor living area and kitchen felt large, open and the 360 degree views gave an airy and bright environment. We wanted a property with space to entertain and have quiet spaces. This was perfect for our new year's break, and the proximity to the ocean allowed for many beach walks. Our host was a pleasure and we hope to visit again.

Wonderful property in North Beach

We enjoyed a lovely week at this home. The communication with the owner was great, although very little was needed. The house is extremely comfortable and nicely furnished. The kitchen is fully stocked and we cooked most of our meals there. The location in North Beach was ideal with beautiful views of the ocean. We would highly recommend this property.

EXCELLENT Family Get Away!

My husband, our son, and my immediate family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this home. The location is convenient to lots of shops (walkable), direct, with quick beach access. The home itself has a great layout and lots of bonuses like beach and kitchen supplies. Communication with the owner was top notch. Strongly recommend this home and plan on returning ourselves!

Beautiful Home - Perfect Location

This is the nicest house we have ever rented on LBI. It had a ton of room for my family and the first floor served as a perfect hang out room for my older kids and friends. The owner is extremely responsive, kind and great to deal with. We usually stay on the bay side, but glad we upgraded to this house this year that is a stones throw from the beach. Very convenient, beautiful home that my family would be thrilled to rent again in the future. Home Run for anyone considering!

Perfect escape during a COVID summer!

Property is in a great location with direct beach access. Very helpful when you have kids and you don’t need to worry about them having to cross the road to get the beach. House was well laid out and provided plenty of room for our two families. Finished basement was perfect staging area for our daily beach visits. There is even a fridge down there for extra food storage (we stored all of our drinks). Bedrooms were spacious and my kids LOVED the bunk beds. Oh and the most important thing, there were PLENTY of bathrooms! Two downsides (both minor). When we arrived the cleaning crew forgot to vacuum so there was a lot of sand everywhere. The owner/manager, quickly recitified the situation and had the crew back to re-do the vacuuming. The second thing is that the house is on the main road and you will hear some road noise. This didn’t bother us much, but don’t expect to hear the ocean from your bedroom. To get ocean noise you will have to spend a few thousand more to be closer to the beach. But at this price point we were happy to make that trade off. Overall very happy with the house and would stay again.

Cozy beach house in an excellent location.

This was our 8th year renting this house, and after I write my review, I will be emailing to rent again for next year. It is very special to my family. The short walk to the beach, and close proximity to Surf City, is truly the best! The owners add cute decorative items each year, and there’s always an improvement to the house every time we come. We all have plenty of room to have our own space, but our favorite place is hanging on the large deck all together. The sunset and ocean views are so beautiful. Very sad to be leaving, but we can’t wait to come back.
