Spacious Villa with heated pool, gulf access and boat lift

Thank you for your review and basically fair rating. As for the pool, I am surprised and disappointed you did not take advantage of notifying me while you were staying. I always disclose my cell number, and texting on this platform reaches me as well. I usually pick up the phone or respond within an hour and fix a problem. Nevertheless, I did some research, after I got your review this way: The weekly pool service had been performed as usual. As your reservation came in, a pressure cleaning of the porch had been ordered. Unfortunately, it was performed the day after the pool service (and my inspection after prior final cleaning). Therefore, some debris from the pressure cleaning seems to have gotten on the pool cover and from there, with the rain short before your arrival, into the pool. I agree, this was unfortunate timing, and I should have noticed, but a short call or text and I had fixed it right away. Regarding the pricing and reservation: We had another request almost at the same time as yours, from a different source. As we follow the principle, first come, first served, we finally accepted the one which turned out to have arrived first. You were notified the same day after your request, so i do not think I "had you over a barrel" Well, this one got cancelled short after and the house was available again. On that day, we adjusted the pricing for all vacation homes as always some days before Christmas. I did notice, that you made a request again next day, this time for the updated rate, but booking was your free choice. I also compare our pricing with comparable vacation homes around, and we are still competitive. I know I did not mention it explicitly, but I tried to come towards you for the changed rate by permitting to use the boat dock, and for free, which is usually not included (look up description) It is a pity, since this is also an information I had rather preferred to tell you over the phone or personally, instead of this way. Nevertheless, you were good tenants, and if you book again, I can promise the pool will be as clean as it usually is, and for the misunderstanding I would offer you again to use the boat dock for free. I hope you give me then an earlier heads up if anything happens to bother.

Thank you for taking the time to add your valuable review. The pool has already been repaired after Easter; we decided to wait for the end of high season to make sure not to bother our tenants. I am also glad to announce that the whole dock will be renovated in a few weeks, and as soon as this project will be finished, I will include this feature in the list of our amenities, which was not mentioned yet for the reason you pointed out. Boaters will be welcome to take advantage. I always appreciate honest critics and recommendations for improvements. You were great tenants, looking forward to maybe seeing you again next season.
