The beach is less than a 5-minute drive, so take advantage of it by kitesurfing, kayaking, surfing, swimming, and every other waterfront activity imaginable. Drive around town to discover local eateries, arts, entertainment, great golf courses, and an array of family-friendly attractions.

Upon entry, you'll find a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the space. The open and airy floor plan promotes togetherness, ensuring no conversation is lost here! Sit in the living area and enjoy great conversation by the wood-burning stove, or take in a movie on the large TV. Prepare grand meals or beach picnic snacks in the beautiful kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances and a floating island range. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, with more than enough room for personal effects. Enjoy walking around the property, taking in the garden, the roomy porch, and the gorgeous scenery around you! Make memories that'll last a lifetime when you stay in this lovely Misty Woods cabin.

An outdoor shower is provided, please rinse off before entry when coming back from the beach.

Amazing relaxing cabin in the redwoods

This cabin had everything you need! Close enough to town to run to the store, but tucked away enough to feel secluded. We will definitely book again.

A peaceful retreat

We wanted a vacation away from the fireworks in our town that always stress out our dog over the 4th of July holiday, and this cute A-frame house suited our purposes exactly. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed yard that allowed her to roam around freely or hang with us on the decks. The hot tub was clean and a nice perk. The kitchen has new appliances and all the necessary equipment. The bathroom and bedrooms are simple but spacious and comfortable. One thing to note is that if someone in your group frequents the restroom at night, it is located on the first floor and the bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are a bit narrow, but there is a handrail and an overhead light that you can switch on to go up/down safely. This cabin is nestled in the woods and very quiet and peaceful, while being close enough to walk into the little town of Gualala, which has markets and good restaurants. They were cooking/selling BBQ ribs, tri-tip, roasted corn, chowder, and other side dishes out in front of the supermarket which we bought for our 4th of July dinner and it was delicious! In town you can catch some stunning views of the ocean from the cliffs and a short drive away there are beautiful beaches that allow dogs and also the river. While we heard from the locals that there was a firework show in nearby Point Arena, we did not hear so much as one pop in Gualala the whole time we were there, which was exactly what we and our doggy were hoping for :-)

Cozy getaway cabin

We had a nice relaxing stay here. Gualala is a cute little town. Great spots for hiking and or coast access either north or south along the coast. The house is very comfortable, lots of deck space, the kitchen was great for cooking, and the hot tub worked great and was clean and maintained.

Beautiful cabin in redwoods

Beautiful cabin nestled in redwoods. Well equipped kitchen, warm and cozy with comfortable beds. Upstairs floor squeaks so light sleepers may be disturbed, but beds are very comfortable. Great garden with fenced area. The highlight is the hot tub - looking up at the redwoods from the hot tub is heavenly! Great stay overall, would go again in a second!

Labor Day Weekend

Place was perfect for our needs. Kitchen was modern and well stocked so we did a lot of cooking instead of eating out. Location felt private and safe. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We had no issues and everything in the house worked just fine. Place is perfect for one or two couples. The dogs loved the big backyard and I like the fact there was a wire fence to help keep other critters out. We’d definitely come back.

Loved this space

I loved the hot tub, the redwoods, all of the yard space for my dog to sniff at his hearts content, the large deck with bench seating. I had a great time at this spot and as much as I wanted to check out and not watch tv, I did find myself watching tv - and I was having trouble with the sound bar turning on and I called for support and a Vacasa person, Herb, came out and could not have been more friendly or more helpful! Thank you, Herb! I highly recommend Vacasa and this house! I definitely want to stay here again. But please note there is no bathroom upstairs and it’s a little trek down the stairs. I agree with a previous reviewer that if you have bad knees or issues walking or doing steps or need to use the bathroom frequently in the middle of the night that would one could find it challenging. I did not though and cannot wait to visit this property again. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

Deceptive listing

Great property via the listing . Home was clean kitchen appliances were great . Bath and main room were adequate. Grounds were beautiful and my dog enjoyed the fenced in yard . Close proximity to beaches and town . Quiet . Hot tub was cleaned and well maintained. However I felt the listing was deceptive because the stairs were not shown on the photos of the house . They were very very steep and inaccessible for my partner who is disabled. This resulted in a one day early check out because we both ended up sleeping on the couches downstairs. I feel like a disclaimer should have been listed on the property description stating “ do not rent this property if you have joint or mobility issues .” I have rented many homes through this company and feel I should be refunded for at least one night due to inadequate listing information. According to ADA homes have to be ADA compliant or state a disclaimer stating they are not . I did not see anything in the property stating this information. Consequently I will not be renting from this company again .

No heat, needed fireplace to stay warm

The home itself was beautiful, location was serene, hot tub was great. Unfortunately we had to go without heat the first night and the second night after maintenance came to try and fix the problem it worked for a few hours for it to promptly turn off again. Thankfully Herb had the foresight to bring firewood and kindling. Unfortunately the upstairs bedrooms were unusable because the heat didn't reach. Traveling with a newborn this left for a worrisome Thanksgiving. Electric space heaters are a must if you don't want to chance having to sleep on the sofas. Also the dishwasher does not work, we are use to handwashing so this was not a deal breaker. I probably would have given this a 4 if they had responded the first night we arrived and a 5 if they had electric heaters as a back up. Disappointed my adult children and their infant were literally left in the cold.

This property is in a secluded, safe, and quiet location tucked away in the redwoods. It’s a few minutes driving from all the restaurants Gualala has to offer. The hot tub was a huge plus and hit the spot on a chilly night. The kitchen is great with everything you need to cook a simple meal. House was very clean. Beds were comfortable and good fit for a few couples or group of friends. Keep in mind quiet house are at 9pm so not a good place for parties or loud groups. Overall, would definitely stay here again!
