The Ledo Hideaway is a custom built cozy cabin tucked away in large trees to provide the ultimate privacy on all 3 sides. The 4th side is a beautiful view that contains cypress trees and knees that frame the mesmerizing sunsets that Toledo Bend is well known for. There's a pier that leads out to the lake where boats can be tied up and a private boat launch with the Sabine Civic Club just one block over. This cabin also offers an outdoor cooking area with a sink for cleaning the catch of the day.
Whether you're sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch under the fans enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors in the summer or are sitting at the outdoor firepit in the winter you are certain to find pure relaxation in this quiet escape.
This property may feel completely secluded but it is only minutes to Toledo Town and all it's amenities!
Very clean. I love sitting outside on the back porch over looking the lake and watching birds and squirrels. Very peaceful. Just the perfect place I was looking for.
Overall great experience. Other than getting locked out and it taking a while to get in contact with the host, it was a good experience to have with the family. One critique Iâd have is to have a way to enter the cabin by either door. Possibly having another key code door knob on the other door also in case that would happen to another guest.
The property was so close to everything in town, easy to find, but was still secluded. The cabin was so clean upon arrival and we enjoyed the tranquility of the place. We spent our days fishing right off the dock. We caught a lot of bream and some small catfish. The view was beautiful and very peaceful, we did not want to leave! We went out to eat at The Fishermanâs Galley, and El Patio and both were fantastic and only a few minutes away from the cabin.
Check in was easy - directions were great. Loved the cabin. It was really quiet. We sat on the porch in the afternoons with all the trees it was shady and a nice little breeze came through.(in July) We fished from the wharf. Overall great time. Would love to rent this cabin again if available!
Very peaceful and relaxing. Boat dock was perfect. Cabin was perfect, very cozy, all amenities provided, the master bed was the most comfortable bed ever!!!! Loved that it was pet friendly and we were able to bring out fur baby.
Property was clean, cozy, and comfy. Great place to get away and relax. Quiet cove off the lake. Plenty of fish biting amongst the knees. Porches were great for catching the sunrise and sunset. Owner quickly answered questions.
We traveled 2 hours north of us and arrived just after nightfall. This property is just into the woods off a rock road and it was spectacular. About 25 yards away is the pier to the water. The views, the breeze swaying the trees while sitting on the porch, the ducks honking at each other, It was all spectacular. The only downside is the internet is not that strong so plan on using the board games provided in the hutch or bring your own. Bring your own fishing poles and your own tackle if you plan to fish. The dock is low enough for a kayak to be used to fish the inlet too. Me and my bride however sat on the porch all day listening to the trees, birds and geese. It was a relaxing getaway for the two days spent.
My husband and I booked this property originally for 9 nights. FOR OUR HONEYMOON! There were lights without bulbs inside. No where to hang our clothes. No where to put our folding clothes such as a dresser. The towels were so rough and scratchy we were going to go buy our own if we hadnât decided to leave the third day. The outside was nasty. An old dirty bathtub beside the porch. Broken picnic table. Stuff laying around the yard. Burn pile that needed cleaning. But what was THE WORST was the open pipe beside the garbage cans oozing raw sewage. Yes everything flushed or that went in the garbage disposal came out. I was mortified!!! The owner was very ugly to me and refused to take my text messages or call me. I actually suggest that VRBO take this listing OFF. The property and pictures listed are old and not kept up. Needless to say it ruined our honeymoon and we lost a lot of money because she wouldnât give us a full refund.
Enjoyed being on the water and seemingly away from everyone. Host was very helpful and responded promptly to our request. Would return to the property again.
The add had hottub but there was not one there and the water was so low it was about 3 foot from the dock the main reson we picked this was for fishing we know they cant control the lake but letting ppl know would be nice one was for fishing we know they
Home was exactly as we expected. Quiet in a small cove surrounded by nature . Met the owner was really nice. Home was clean and so cute. Had everything we needed. My only issue was the driveway. When its wet you need a 4x4. Its narrow and goes down kinda steep. Maybe some gravel would help with traction. Overall 5+ stars.
Overall a very nice place. Beds were comfortable, the kids complimented the beds. Location is in a very nice place. The driveway does need a little work, but not a deal breaker. Everyone enjoyed themselves, kids had fun fishing/ playing on the dock.
Had a wonderful stay @ Ledo Hideaway. The Cabin and location on the water was perfect for what we love to do. We watched sunsets & sunrises on the dock, explored cove area in kayak and caught lot's of bass! Wife caught a 4lb Blue Cat right off the dock! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. All the comforts of home with WiFi and a smart TV's. Tip, watch water levels of lake when booking to assure water level in cove is up to the dock. Water level when we stayed was @ 172.3 and the cove was full of water and fish! We loved our stay at the lake, the area was beautiful will return in the near future.
Well the wind was ridiculous which made the water so choppy and to much and to dangerous to really go fishing like we wanted to. As far as the place everything was fine with the exception of the bugs in the house. Tremendous amounts of knats and mosquitoes. The front and side porches Definately need to be screened in with screen doors. If you have a camp like that near water and woods thatâs the 1st thing that needs to be done. Screen in the place.
