Beautiful Tennessee sandstone construction including exterior walls, patio, picnic table, grill, walkway and driveway. Rock walls are laid like brick.
Interior walls and ceiling are plaster. The bedrooms and living room are carpeted and the living room, dining room, laundry room and entry are Tennessee Sandstone floors.
Completely furnished. Just bring your toothbrush and a change of clothes.
Some of the furnishings are antiques.
Very well built. Original owner was also a builder. Tennessee sandstone exterior walls and interior floor.
Quiet friendly established neighborhood with little turnover. Quiet restful house.

This proprety was the perfect location for my wife and I to get away for the week. Very peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful backyard on the water. Excellent value. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Beautiful property not the geographical location I was hoping for "the surrounding" community

Beautiful home however they need to disclose that this part of winter Haven is very dirty and appear they nearby community is in severe need to clean up and shows a very dirty element of Florida. The property owner and his property are very nice and the street this house is on is better than the neighboring areas far and away.

Just okay

Over all, we enjoyed our stay but, simple things were not good. It looked like it hadn’t been dusted or vacuumed well. The front porch light and some other light bulbs weren’t working. No hair dryer. Shower heads were OLD and harsh. The dock needed rails. But, I LOVED HAVING THE DOCK and the peace and relative privacy of the dock was very nice and was my favorite part of the stay! Some of the sheets were stained. The windows were all dirty. It could all easily be fixed/improved!

Wonderful stay!

This was the first time we spent an entire month in Florida, and we wanted to be centered between Orlando and St Petersburg areas in order to visit family and friends. This home fit the bill perfectly! It’s a very solid older home in a residential neighborhood. Be prepared to drive to any of the surrounding towns for groceries, etc (as it’s not within walking distance). That being said, the comfortable, relaxing feel of Steve’s home, and the incredible view from the family room windows is just the perfect fit! I could have sat for hours (and did!) to just watch (and listen to) the birds (so many different varieties including the eagles who nest in a backyard tree!). Not to mention the antics of the squirrels and other wildlife passing through the backyard! This is a very peaceful place! If you are looking to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle, or close to the beach, this is not your kind of place. If you are looking to relax, unwind, perhaps spend some time visiting the quaint little towns and lakes that dot central Florida, this is definitely it! We so enjoyed our time here and appreciate all the beauty this home has to offer! Thank you for sharing it!

Great spot right on the lake

Million dollar views and a very “home” feeling house. Very clean and the owner texted us every couple days to see if we needed anything. Will definitely stay here again!

Great older home on lake

My husband and I just returned from a weeks stay in this wonderful home. It is very spacious and comfortable with a large flat screen TV in the living room. Good cable and internet service is provided. WiFi is also provided with Ethernet cable and password. The owner was very helpful and accommodating in relaying information about the area. Although we did not meet him personally, he was available by phone or text.... Caretakers are close by to answer any questions you may have. It is well stocked with just about everything you need for a home away from home. Supermarkets, drugstores and a number of restaurants are minutes away by car and being in the central part of the state, it's just as the ad states, you are 1 to 1 1/2 hours away from the major parks and beaches. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and I absolutely would recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy watching the sun rise over Lake Mariana, fishing, bird watching or simply feeding the ducks. It is a great place to get rejuvenated!

Very comfortable and great owner

Overall, the house met my expectations and it was a real pleasure to deal with the owner. The layout of the house is very well done, with a large living room / dining room in the front and a family room / kitchen in the back with large sliding doors looking onto the lake. The three bedrooms are off the hallway to the side of the house. We had coffee each morning on the dock and while we didn't use it, there was a bbq grill on the back porch with a built-in picnic table. The yard is decent size and would be enough for small children to play (but not left alone as it is on the lake). The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils / plates / pans you need to prepare meals. Some of the appliance are older (oven, range) but everything worked as it should. Laundry washer dryer worked as well. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The only hiccup occurred on the second day of our stay, when the flat screen tv in the living room stopped turning on. Normally, this would not matter so much to me, but we were there over Super Bowl weekend and had made plans to watch the game at the house. Steve, the owner, was quite responsive, and when it was determined that the TV was faulty, he immediately ordered a new (even larger) TV that I picked up the next day and installed in time for the big game. Throughout our stay, Steve was available by phone and email. While we had no real issues to speak of, I was quite confident in his availability and willingness to make sure our stay was comfortable. As far as location, I have family in the area and it was for this reason I looked here in the first place. It is a residential neighborhood and quite calm. You need a car here, there are foodstores / fast food nearby within 5 minutes but you can't walk there. Steve posted accurately in the advert the distances from nearby attractions (Disney/Legoland etc). All in all I would recommend this house to anyone who needs more space than a hotel can provide and would like to stay in this area.
