Freshly remediated for mold, our place is fragrance free & organic with low chemicals, and NO WIFI, no smart meter, has concrete floors, and a queen sized foam mattress. Pets allowed by pre-approval only and require an additional pet cleaning fee, please message us with details about your pet first.

World famous Siesta Key Beach is 5.8 miles away, and Lido Key Beach is 8.5 miles away, and its just a 4 mile bike ride to Crescent Beach on Siesta Key.

The space
From your private parking space at the front of the yard, you'll follow the paver walkway past the tasty Starfruit tree and Jamaican Cherry tree (cotton candy tasting berries), and past the divine smelling Jasmine bush, to your gate entrance (the mermaid) into your fully fenced PRIVATE YARD. The yard is landscaped with tropical plants like plumeria & hibiscus. There is some grass but the yard is shaded by our mature oak trees so the grass is a bit patchy. There is a motion activated light outside to help you find your way to the door after dark. From there you will find your private entrance into a large bedroom with an attached full bathroom. For your use are 2 beach chairs, and a cooler on wheels. (2 bikes available upon request)

The BEDROOM (13.5' x 13.5') has a Queen sized bed, with a memory foam mattress (new in 2021, and not used until 2022), shredded foam pillows (that have a zipper and are adjustable!) and cotton sheets. There is also a white leather sofa with electric full recline, and a small dresser. 43" non-smart tv, with Roku Ultra (you can use our Netflix and Disney Plus guest profiles to stream). The floors throughout the whole space are stained concrete, there is a ceiling fan, and a full sized refrigerator & freezer. There is a desk with a chair, that also doubles as a table (as well as a stool if you need additional seating). The room is hard wired with ethernet cables only (one for the roku, one for the desk, and one for the bed) and we have very fast internet speeds, but please note the room does NOT have WIFI (one of our children is very sensitive to WIFI so we cannot have it on our property).

The closet houses a KITCHENETTE bar complete with a small toaster oven, microwave, single electric burner, electric kettle and stainless steel pour over coffee filter. We have included sea salt, black pepper and coconut oil for your use. There is also a clothes bar with plenty of hangers, a luggage stand, and laundry basket.

The BATHROOM has a newer shower/tub combo with a deep soaking tub, recirculating hot water, and a bidet on the toilet. The spacious vanity is topped with a long granite counter, and has a magnifying mirror on an expandable arm. Included is Dr Bronner's unscented soap in a foaming pump, cotton bath towels, hand towels & wash cloths, beach towels and a hair dryer. We have well water so there is no chlorine in our water (the water is softened with a whole house water softener, and filtered to remove solids). There is a dehumidifier in the bathroom that must remain running during your stay, please do not turn it off.

This air conditioning in this room is controlled by the main house. During the hot times of the year we keep it set cold, and that room is the coldest room in the house by far. Because of that, it is possible you could be cold, and if that is the case you can either close the air conditioning vents as much as needed, or you can run the space heater. (Oscillating floor fan available upon request)

Internet, electricity, etc... cannot be guaranteed if there is a storm or a problem with the provider (but it is extremely rare that we lose service).

Guest access
You will be in what used to be the master bedroom and bathroom of the main house, which is approx 300 sq ft total (bedroom itself is 13.5' x 13.5'). It has a lock out so it is not accessible from the rest of the house, and the walls between your room and the rest of the house have double insulation in them. The interior door is a solid wood door, and there is a sound dampening blanket hanging on the main house side of the door. We have an outside cat who we have adopted (he was feral, but is now extremely friendly with all people) and he is great at climbing fences, so he may visit your yard looking for love. We also have 5 chickens in our part of the backyard. On our side of the house we are 2 self employed adults, and 3 kids (ages 11-19) that are homeschooled, and 1 house bunny.

Very safe neighborhood of custom built single family homes, with mature Oak trees dripping with Spanish moss.

Very close to Bee Ridge Park - 10 acres with softball, sand volleyball, and covered basketball courts, and shaded playground.

This is a bike riding paradise! (We have 2 bicycles you may use upon request, but we do need notice that you want to use them. The salt in the air makes it hard to keep them ready to use, so we'll need some notice to get them ready for you.)
☀ 1 mile to the famous Legacy Trail where you can walk, run, bike, skate, etc... all the way to downtown Sarasota, or Venice.
☀ Publix & Neighborhood Walmart are on the corner. Trader Joes is also close by. Costco is 5 miles away.
☀ 4 miles to Crescent Beach, 5.5 miles to Siesta Key Public Beach, 8 miles to Lido Key Public Beach.
☀ 6 miles to Siesta Key Village, 8 miles to St Armands Circle.
☀ Close to lots of restaurants, movie theatres, shopping malls, and downtown.
☀ Just a 70 minute drive to Busch Gardens in Tampa.

Other things to note
Although we are new to VRBO we are not new to customer service. You can check out the reviews for the businesses we own, which will give you a sense of our integrity. We own All New Again in Sarasota, and have glowing reviews left by customers on g**gle. We also own Island Deodorant, and you can find our third party verified reviews at the top of our website by doing an internet search on the business name.

For stays longer than a week, we are happy to bring you clean bedding and towels once a week in exchange for your dirties.

We use only unscented cleaners in the rental, so we respectfully request that you do not spray fragrance or sunscreen in the room.

We have an extra Austin Air Purifier you are welcome to use in the rental (with an additional deposit collected) upon request.

We are a mostly chemical free property (although we do use bug spray strategically when necessary, since this is Florida), and occasionally we do use essential oils and/or fragrance for our business in our part of the house (if you are sensitive let us know and we will not schedule any of those jobs while you are staying here). We do not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers on the yard or plants.

January 2022 our place was rebuilt from a costly and extensive mold remediation. The duct work is new, and we installed a UV light and a Reme Halo In-Duct Air Purifier (which makes ionized hydrogen peroxide in the air conditioner so it gets pumped through the ducts every time the A/C comes on and you can faintly smell it at times).

House Rules
-No children under age 12 without prior approval. This includes infants.
-Check out is 11 AM - please check out on time so the unit can be deep cleaned for the next guest. Unauthorized late check outs will be charged $50/hour.
-Wash the dishes, and take out the trash before checkout.
-Please use your designated parking space. Only one vehicle is allowed.
-No WIFI router is to be plugged in on the property. (We understand this is inconvenient for some, however this was made clear in the listing and house rules)
-Do not turn off the dehumidifier.
-No smoking inside the Airbnb.
-Do not use perfumes/colognes/fragrances, or spray on sunscreen, inside the Airbnb.
-No unregistered guests or visitors allowed without prior approval.
-Keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the neighbors – especially during nighttime hours (e.g. 10pm – 8am), and upon arrival and departure
-No pets allowed without prior approval.
-Please take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a replacement fee of $50.
-Please take care of the furnishings. You have to pay for damages.
-No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
-Report any damages and/or breakages within 24 hours..

Pet rules
-Pets need to be leashed when outside of the fenced private yard, and supervised when in the private yard. You will be financially responsible if they dig and/or destroy the plantings.
-Do not leave dogs unattended
-You must pick up your pet’s poop
-Any pet that becomes disruptive will need to be removed immediately.
-You will be financially responsible for any damage caused by your pet
