A quite little cottage in the heart of Manteo on Roanoke Island. Walking distance to historic downtown waterfront. Hosting great restaurants and plenty of shops, water sports and family entertainment and Roanoke Island Festival Park. Close to the NC Aquarium, Lost Colony, Elizabethan Gardens, Fort Raleigh and Island Farm. A 10 minute drive to the beaches. While you are relaxing enjoy the Tiki bar with TV for your outside enjoyment as well as a ample sized back yard for the kids to play in.
The place was good enough. Good location. Clean. No complaints about any of that. Communication started out well when I booked. Then 2 days before - all the reminders. Which included the statement. âYou will be sent the entry code the night before.â
Then no code. But kept getting welcoming texts etc. Finally, in the lot beside the house, I texted asking for the code, which came a minute later.
Upon settling in, there is no book, document, or anything that says, âHereâs what you need to know.â Or FAQs. Nowhere was the WiFi password. Texted back and forth, and no real answer. Texted the next morning. Nope. Saturday evening we returned to a slip of paper wedged in the door. Password for WiFi is ââŠâ. Finally. The soap dispenser was out of soap. Nothing horrible, but a bunch of little things that got in the way and annoyed throughout.
