New farmhouse style construction in a peaceful woods overlooking a serene meadow setting, just 2.8 miles outside of the bustling resort town of Saugatuck, and just across the Kalamazoo River from Douglas. Convenient location near wedding venues; The Ivy House and Felt Mansion. After your day of taking in the sun at Oval Beach on Lake Michigan, shopping, hiking, boating, or winetasting, escape to this relaxing space. Take your pick of 2 fireplaces - in the living room or outside on the lanai. Each bedroom has blackout curtains for sleeping in later than the sun. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails on the screened-in porch or patio while watching the wildlife, shooting stars, or listening to the songbirds. You'll love cooking in the beautiful modern kitchen or on the outdoor grill. Maybe indulge in S'mores around the firepit. The home has a motion sensor light and security camera that overlooks the driveway and parking area.

We loved our stay at Coastal Farmhouse. It is a beautiful property, especially the lanai, and is an easy drive to downtown Saugatuck as well as Douglas and Fennville. Joyce was a great communicator throughout the process and we always had all the information we needed to check in, access wifi, check out, etc. She also provided a great list of things to do in the area. We will definitely be staying here again!

Lovely Stay

We stayed for a long weekend at this home. It was a lovely time. We've rented many homes and this was one of our favorites. It was warm, cozy, and felt like we were at home. The screened in porch and backyard were our favorite spots.

Clean and well maintained house, surrounded by quiet but a very short drive to town for dinner and activities. Next time we look forward to warmer weather so that we can enjoy the fireplace on the porch!

Family Vacation

We had an incredible time during our stay. Can’t say enough about this beautiful, peaceful property. Loads of wildlife to watch in and around the yard. The home was exactly as pictured and the owner, Joyce, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. There were evening thunderstorms and she phoned to make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend.

A cozy, comfortable, and charming getaway

The place was very well-maintained, cared for, and there was lot of attention to detail. It is situated in a cozy neighborhood and is perfect for nature lovers, bird watchers, and star gazers alike. It's also very close to art galleries, restaurants, and areas to watch the sunset. We celebrated our parents' 50th wedding anniversary there and they absolutely loved it! :-)

This is our 2nd stay at this property and we have already booked it again next year. The house and property are even better than the pictures. The kitchen is equipped with anything you could ask for. Joyce is the MOST wonderful host/owner, we feel as if we know her. She is responsive to every question or request, answering almost immediately, not sure she ever sleeps! The beds are to die for they are so comfortable. The house is light and airy, tv's in every room including the screened in porch, 2 fireplaces, comfy furniture. We really could not ask for anything more. And the location to Saugatuck is perfect, not too far not too close. Thanks again Joyce!

Wonderful!

Exceptional home in The Saugatuck area. Literally less than 5 minutes from Mainstreet. Gorgeous home and perfectly maintained. Joyce and Tim are outstanding hosts and so kind and courteous. 3 lovely bedrooms. All in one floor. Wonderful great room. Screened in 3 season room with fireplace. Outdoor patio overlooking a serene meadow. Every amenity you could ask for. Can’t wait to get back here next year!

Coastal Farmhouse stay

The property and home were more than advertised and pictured. A few days into our stay we went ahead and booked the same for next year! We were able to check-in before 4:00, which was lovely. The door was code locked so no need for managing keys during our vacay and it was easy to use. As were the house electronics, especially the tv, we have had problems with other properties prior to this. The manager was a delight to communicate with prior, during and after our stay! The kitchen came with all the gadgets imaginable which was again a very nice surprise. Several very comfortable seating areas throughout and outside of the home. Location was great, very near Saugatuck yet quiet, surrounded by countryside. My friends and I have been traveling to Saugatuck for many years and I can quite honestly say this was probably the most enjoyable, mostly due to the home and Joyce, the manager!

Sisters Weekend

My two sisters and I stay at the Coastal Farmhouse as our home base as we attended the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, MI in May 2024. We absolutely loved the property. This is the nicest VRBO we have experienced on our various Sisters Weekends. The property has 3 large comfortable bedroom, perfect for the 3 of us. The decor inside the house is beautiful with plenty of space to relax, play games, and make meals. The outside space is equally beautiful with a nicely landscaped yard with plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing outdoors. We had lots of visitors from hummingbirds, wild turkeys and lots of other critters, providing entertainment as we sat outside. Perfectly located on the outskirts of Saugatuck, it was very easy to daytrip into Saugatuck, Douglas and Holland. We found plenty of events to keep ourselves busy during the day. The owner, Joyce, gave great instructions on checking in to the property. The kitchen was very nicely stocked with anything one would need to cook a meal. I would give this property the highest recommendation for a relaxing place to stay while in the Saugatuck area.

Wonderful getaway!

Our family of 5 loved staying at this property! It was super clean, close to Saugatuck, and beautiful! The screened in back porch is one of the best features, and includes great lounging furniture, tv, and fireplace. We enjoyed staying here so much it was difficult to leave the property! It felt close to everything, yet away enough to truly relax. Kitchen is stocked well with all the utensils, cookware, and dishes/glassware you need. Joyce was wonderful to work with and we cannot wait to stay here again. Our kids loved staying here too! Perfect getaway in a beautiful home and excellent location! We can’t wait to come back!

A true home away from home

Beautiful. Felt at home. Owner was very friendly and kind. The house had everything we needed for our short stay. We spent a lot of time cooking in the amazing kitchen and chatting on the beautiful enclosed patio. Beautiful views all around the property!

Meet Tim and Joyce, Premier Hosts of the Coastal Farmhouse. We have 4 amazing children from 21 to 29 years old. We always have fun where ever we go and love the great outdoors in all weather. Hiking Saugatuck's beach trails is one of our favorite things to do. We both recently retired from teaching after 63 years between the two of us. Now that our kids are grown and have left our nest empty, we love to travel too. If you enjoy the outdoors like our family does, you'll enjoy our home and the great area in which we live.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our new home is situated on a peaceful 1 1/2 acres with woods in one direction and a peaceful meadow in the other. It's very close to all the amenities the Saugatuck and Douglas area has to offer, then you can escape back to this relaxing, cozy Coastal Farmhouse.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The fauna and flora are amazing here. We have identified so many wildflowers and birds in our back yard. You may even see deer, a woodchuck or turkeys wander by, or hawks, geese and Sandhill cranes fly overhead. Listening to bird calls has been a fun pastime as we sit and relax on the patio or lanai.
