This was a clean, well-stocked, conveniently located and organized house. The owners were very responsive to any questions and we were able to enjoy both the town of Winthrop and the surrounding natural beauty. We had a great stay!
Amazing property within walking distance of town and grocery store. Deer outside each day. We had 6 adults and very comfortable. We have stayed here same weekend 2 years in a row and will def go back!
What a lovely home!! The location was great, we were able to walk to town. All of the little touches in the home were so nice and appreciated. The house is so cozy and comfortable. Loved watching the deer in the morning in the yard. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!!
Beautiful 2 bedroom home with a lovely garden area and covered porch/sitting patio in the back of the house. Comfortable modern place to stay close to everything.
Beds, couch, pillows were all very comfy. Nice kitchen and a very well taken care of clean grill. Our family of three enjoyed staying at this close to town home within easy walking distance to great pizza, fine dining and downtown Winthrop.
This property was great and Alison (owner) was awesome in terms of communication. The house is at the end of the street in a very quiet neighborhood and literally about 2 steps to the community trail system. It's a very short walk to downtown Winthrop across the river. The place was clean and well stocked for our stay - highly recommend booking this place for a visit to Winthrop.
Such a great property and perfect location. Could walk to town and store. Beautiful space with plenty of room for 6 people. We enjoyed the gas fireplace every morning and evening. Would love to see hot tub and outdoor gas fireplace/table - but regardless would 100% book again.
Home was sunny and lovely with outdoor seating & garden. We enjoyed watching wildlife and LOVED that we could walk into Winthrop which had more (& better) restaurants than expected .
. expected. Wi, a love
We will definitely return! The home is very beautiful and well appointed. The master bedroom has an incredibly comfortable bed. We loved cooking breakfast in the open family room/kitchen. Plus the trail just out the front door leads to the local grocery store in one direction, or back into downtown in the other direction. It was the perfect house for our family!
This is our second year staying at Basecamp during the winter season and we'll be back again! It's the perfect location for us. We're able to ski out the door as well as walk to town and the grocery store. Wifi has been updated and it's fast and consistent so was able to work as needed, including video calls. Alison is a great host and quick to answer any questions that might come up. Highly recommend it!
This is a wonderful new home within a short walk of Winthrop and situated right along a great trail. The owner was super responsive and easy to work with. Our family of 4 (2 young adult children) was very comfortable here with the nice bedrooms and living spaces. We enjoyed walking to the town of Winthrop which has many nice shops, including a great bakery/coffee shop. We also enjoyed hiking in the Cascades on the Cutthroat Lake trail off of highway 20. I highly recommend this home and would definitely stay again!
Short pleasant walk to Winthrop on pedestrian trail. Shorter walk to trailhead for xc skiing and to grocery store and movie theater. Itâs the end property so the vista from the large windows is of fields and hills. Modern but comfortable furnishings including a very comfortable bed. There wasnât quite enough snow for great skiing every day but we had a wonderful time!
The property itself is very clean, quiet and nicely appointed. The garden had raspberries that were ripe so we enjoyed some for breakfast. Second morning a small family of elk walked through the area. We spent our days hiking in the higher elevations nearby, trying to avoid the excessive heat as much as we could. Our only complaint would be that the AC in the central, common space had trouble keeping up with the heat. Would definitely recommend this location when it isn't 100+ degrees.
This is our third year staying at Winthrop Basecamp, and we love the location and the space. It's an easy walk to the store and the town, and the ski/walking trail is just steps away from the front door. The space is bright, open, and the kitchen has all the basics and then some. Additionally, the host is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at the Winthrop Basecamp and would not hesitate to stay there again. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook our meals. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the back patio. The area the house is in is convenient to town and the grocery store, and was very quiet. Alison was helpful, responded quickly to our questions, and communicated clearly. We would not hesitate to stay again.
The location cannot be beat. The beds are very comfortable and my kids loved the bathtub. Unfortunately, we got in late and the place was 63 degrees. I turned all the wall units to 70 and went to bed. In the morning it was 58 degrees in the house. It took all day cranking the heat to get it to 70. Alison was very responsive, it just took time. We still want to come back!
We loved our stay at this property. It was welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The host provided great instructions and information to help make our stay so enjoyable. It truly was our âbase campâ since we spent most of our time exploring north cascades national park and the surrounding area. Loved the restaurants we visited in Winthrop, too!
We loved our stay at the Winthrop Basecamp.
The house is new construction, very cute, and nicely put together. It was one of the cleanest properties I've ever stayed in, thoughtfully outfitted for guests, even down to fancily-folded towels.
The house is an easy, pleasant walk (maybe 10 minutes) along a non-motorized path and bridge to downtown Winthrop, and conveniently located for other activities in the region.
Your front door is literally 20 feet from the path, which, I believe, is groomed for nordic skiing and fatbiking in winter
The owner was responsive and pleasant to communicate with, and we had no issues during our stay at the property.
We'd be thrilled to come back and stay again.
We love the methow valley and this rugged mountain town community! We can often be found recreating in the mountains and rivers nearby and are happy to share this space with those travelling through the area!
We had a dream to create a trailside home when we found this small piece of land and are so happy with how it turned out. It is a great neighborhood with easy access to all the local amenities including fine dining just down the street, the new library, and grocery store within a 5 minute walk!
The Suzy Stephens trail is right out the front door so there is no need to drive to the town trailhead for skiing. The ski-in ski-out experience is fantastic no matter what your level is but we've found it especially great having young kids.
