Welcome to House of Roy - a reimagined Wild West cabin paying homage to an American classic cowboy; Roy Rogers. Perfect for a group who wants to play in Pioneertown, make music and cocktails in our private saloon, or splash off the summer heat in one of the tubs - there is a lot to do here and we cant wait to host you.
Nestled on 4 acres in downtown Pioneertown, 3 blocks from Pappy & Harriet's, this desert oasis marries Wild West charm with modern comfort. Ideal for getaways, gatherings, or National Park adventures.

â BEDS & BATHS â
This cabin sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 rooms, with 4 beds and an extendable daybed. It has 3 bathrooms, including 2 showers and an indoor jacuzzi tub. Option to include the airstream as an additional sleeping area *Coming soon*!
The front bedroom features a king bed, Tuft & Needle mattress, and 2 en-suite full bathrooms. One has a shower, washer/dryer, and the other a large jacuzzi tub.
The spacious master bedroom suite features a king-sized Leesa memory foam mattress on a boho chic CB2 bed frame. This space has its own en-suite bathroom with shower and tub, as well as a couch, desk and small kitchenette and access to two patios. It also boasts a large open closet.
The sleeping loft, accessible via ladder from the living room, has a queen-size Casper mattress. Note: no door, but has its own heating/cooling unit.
The cinema room has a queen-size Casper mattress, 65-inch TV, and access to a full en-suite bathroom. Note: it's a pass-through room between the master bedroom and kitchen, with a privacy door to the kitchen, and ability to lock master bedroom path for added privacy.
â KITCHEN & DINING â
The fully-equipped kitchen has a ceramic glass stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, and DeLonghi pod espresso machine. The designers made special decisions to incorporate special hardware like custom cabinets from Semihandmade as well as a custom waterfall concrete island, as well as a modern SMEG refrigerator. We like to call it a Cowboy Chefs Kitchen :)
Dine indoors at the large Restoration Hardware table, or outside with sweeping views of the Pioneertown Valley. A propane BBQ is available outside the kitchen.
â LIVING ROOM â
The living room, the heart of this desert cabin, connects to the kitchen, front entrance, bathroom, and front bedroom. There's also access to the patio near the dining table. The 16ft ceilings and open floor plan make the 1600 sqft house feel even larger. Enjoy entertainment with board games or the flatscreen TV from either of the two couches. A cozy nook with two lounge chairs and a coffee table provides an additional spot to unwind and relax.
â OUTDOOR â
The outdoor experience at House of Roy is entertaining and open to desert views, with half of the property fenced in for added security. Be cautious: the desert floor can be dangerous for bare feet and pets.
Five outdoor areas include the front patio, side patio, backyard, round ex-horse corral south of the house, and a remodeled horse stable turned saloon with a window bar.
The large wraparound patio, connected to the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom, has couches around the fireplace, a propane BBQ near the dining table, a swing, a hot tub, and sun chairs.
The backyard has 4 hammocks, corn hole, and horseshoe.
Behind the saloon there is a large wooden deck with built in cowboy pool tubs for those hot summer days. They are located right next to the airstream with a deck and two lounge chair.
â GARAGE & PARKING â
The U-shaped driveway makes loading/unloading easy, with ample space for vehicles and a Tesla wall charger.
Please park in the driveway roundabout, not by the side due to the septic tank.
â HEATING AND COOLING â
The house has 4 mini-split heating/cooling units, a pellet fireplace in the living room, and a propane outdoor fireplace. The hot tub is clean and warm, and the cowboy tub is perfect for cooling down on hot desert days.
â WORK TRIPS â
The cabin has fast Wi-Fi, a dedicated workstation in the front bedroom, and large kitchen and outdoor tables for group workspaces.
â PET & KID FRIENDLY â
Pets are welcome, and a pet basket with essentials awaits. Families with children can enjoy board games, children's books, outdoor games, hammocks, and ample outdoor space. We pass the pet fee ($80) directly on to our cleaners who take extra care to ensure the space is always perfect for every new arrival.

Hi! Iâm Meghan, a former event producer turned full-time host and desert dweller. My husband Viktor and I moved to the High Desert in 2020 and never looked back. We lovingly restored House of Roy as a creative retreat â equal parts cowboy kitsch and serene escape. Hosting is our way of sharing that magic with others.

House of Roy isnât just a place to stay â itâs a vibe. Think vintage Western saloon meets stylish desert hideout. We converted an old horse stable into an actual saloon (yes, really), complete with swinging doors and a record player. Thereâs a cowboy plunge pool, a hot tub under the stars, hammocks for napping, and fireplaces inside and out.
Weâve poured a lot of love into the details â layered textures, collected decor, and a layout thatâs perfect for both quiet escapes and unforgettable gatherings. Itâs the kind of place that makes you want to write a song, host a dinner party, or just do absolutely nothing in the best possible way.
