Set on 15 wooded acres just around the corner from Spencer Lake, The Treehouse is the 1970s camp that we wish we grew up with. The Treehouse is ideal for girls and boys of all ages. Whether youâre looking to escape the city for a relaxing retreat with family, or a girls trip to sip those oh so tasty Wiscoâ Old Fashioned cocktails. We hope this lovely Wes Anderson inspired cabin will be the Wisconsin Kingdom to make lasting memories at.
I canât say enough about the charm of this property. The setback, private nature of this wonderful retreat was incredible. Less than 10 minutes from anything. Weâve already booked our next stay.
Nice place. Screened porch is awesome. One note bunk bed is a single bunk, room for 2 people. Illustration shows 2 bunks, room for 4 people by my view.
Beautiful setting, meticulously clean, spacious with many gathering spaces, family friendly. Description was accurate. I overlooked that there was no air conditioning when I booked it. Mid June visit was in the 90's so it was a bit too warm for my family, no fault of the host. A couple of fans were provided. Would suggest to bring additional fans along if visiting during summer months. Would love to visit again with my family in the fall or winter season. Dryer wasn't working. Was notified by Amy prior to arrival. Amy responded to questions in a timely manner. Loved the Wisco decor and cabin feel.
The house was very clean, and the screened in porch was our favorite place to hang out. The inside is definitely rustic, and I might suggest they invest in numerous upgrades. For example, air conditioning, and dryer needs to be fixed (which the owner did mention). The lack of air conditioning made the house very musty. The drains in a couple of the bathrooms were not draining adequately. The lack of lighting led to a spooky atmosphere, especially in the lower level. It definitely had room to accommodate a large family.
We didn't spend a ton of time at the property because we were in Waupaca to visit family, but we certainly enjoyed the quietness and quaintness of the Treehouse. Our favorite thing was to sit outside on the screened-in porch and drink our morning coffee while watching deer in the woods. The home was very clean. It is very dated (70s) but we felt like that added to the charm and overall feel. Depending on the age and mindset of the visiting group, it can feel like a setting from the Brady Bunch or the Twilight Zone. Our children thought it could have been "haunted" ;) It was a great stay and will hopefully be back.
We also want to give a shoutout to Amy for her quick response in trying to resolve an issue we had (a large tree happened to fall across the driveway while we were there) - we called her late at night to let her know and she made an appt to have it removed the next day.
My family and I rented this location for a Holiday get away. It is a beautiful home in a scenic remote location with trees surrounding the property. It is spacious with a beautiful open kitchen/dining/living room area. The pool table downstairs was a super fun added perk! The owner of this property responds extremely fast to any questions or needs. I highly reccommend this property.
I lived in northern WI for most of my life. In 2005 my family moved to Montana. I love Montana and itâs rugged beauty, but my heart will always be in Wisconsin on a lake!
I hope you love the Treehouse as much as I do and you and your family and friends make many memories there!
