Nice home

Nice and clean home. Communication with owner was fine. Outside backyard could use a little TLC. Only issue was the outside unit being frozen, but thankfully it cooled off so we didnt need it. Owner was working on getting it fixed. Overall good rental for a quick trip and close to UK hospital where my father is. Major plus is they welcome pets which we had to travel with!

Comfortable pet-friendly house near downtown

This place was the best reasonably-priced pet-friendly option we could find near downtown Lexington for our weekend stay. It was nice being able to walk to the UK campus and nearby restaurants. I'm not a huge fan of memory foam mattresses but we liked the beautiful antique furniture, wood floors, artwork, well-appointed kitchen and covered back patio.

Not clean

This place was not up to the minimum standard of cleanliness as a rental listing. There was scum and dirt on the kitchen and bathroom floors, a wad of chewed gum stuck to the floor in one of the bedrooms and a white, crusty stain on a pillow sham. There was trash all over the outside area. The place itself was close to where we wanted to be and looks like the photos, but again the filth and lack of attention to cleaning was appalling for a listing that charges an $80 cleaning fee. I reached out to the host asking for them to address this and sent them pictures and they have not responded. It was very uncomfortable and not worth the cost, I do not recommend that you stay here, spend your money somewhere where they do the bare minimum job of cleaning.

Cozy and very quiet…

The pictures posted are exactly what you get in the booking. Very clean! Neighbors were kind, as I would expect nothing less in Kentucky! It was a great place to host a delayed Christmas dinner with my family. After traveling 7 hours, it was cozy, clean, an overall wonderful experience! We will stay here again when visiting family! Host was great!

Excellent!

Owner was quick to respond to inquiries. Check in process was easy. Home is an older home, inside was clean and well stocked for a weeklong stay. Very close to downtown. Home was quiet and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this rental property!

Nice place

We stayed here for UK parents weekend & it was nice. We grilled out & it would have been nice to have a clean backyard but there are lots of trees so that may be impossible. Kitchen was stocked very well. Master bedroom was nice but hot. They really need a ceiling fan. Lots of burned out lights but overall a good experience.

Unfortunately we did not have the experience of previous reviews. Upon arrival we noticed the property was not clean. Layer of dust, smelled of wet dog/urine, muddy foot prints from the back door into the kitchen. The fridge was broken with an inch of water in the bottom drawer. Bathroom needed a deep cleaning. We did reach out to the host by phone, email and we had Expedia attempt to reach them to fix the situation. No response. Security was concerning since the neighborhood was just okay and the bedroom window, which is first floor would, not lock. Kitchen was well stocked with new items so maybe they are trying. For us would never recommend.

Great Stay at Bucoto's Bungalow

We were in Lexington for my stepdaughter's UK graduation. Normally we stayed at a hotel near campus but we wanted a bit more room. Bucoto's Bungalow was perfect - cute little house, comfy beds, kitchen was well stocked for our needs. Location was convenient to campus and about a half block away there is a Starbucks. This was probably our last trip to Lexington, but if we find ourselves there at some other point we would definitely stay here again.

Cute Bungalow met our needs

Cute house neighborhood looks questionable upon arrival, but all was well no noises no disturbances even though so close to a main street on the plus side to being close to a main street with restaurants you can get food on the dime. Beds are comfortable slept through the night with no issues it met our needs. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen utensils not much with small extras i.e., snacks or drinks. I would recommend and would stay here again. We did have an unexpected guest in the kitchen we named it Jimmy cricket we trapped it in a clear glass and set free in the morning all was good. Host communicated promptly which was very much appreciated.
