Newly Renovated Charming Cottage on the Scilly Walk
Fully renovated in 2022 this charming cottage is located near the start of the famous Scilly Walk in Kinsale. The cottage has stunning views of Kinsale Harbour and the two forts, Charles Fort and James Fort and is only 8 minutes walk from the town. One of Kinsale's favorite pubs, the Spaniard is 2 minutes up the hill, and the famous restaurant Man Friday is only 4 minutes walk away.
Facing south, the cottage has sun all day and uninterrupted views of the Harbour . Enjoy the spectacle of the fleet of red-sailed squib sailboats setting off to race, the fishing boats returning with their catch, and the luxurious cruisers arriving to partake in the culinary delights of Kinsale . All of these and more will pass your window each and every day .
The renovations have kept the original charm of the cottage and the tranquility of the space is one of its most important features.. The Cottage has off road parking for 2 cars.
This is a wonderful house. The pictures are a great representation of the property. Finding three bedrooms with three private bathrooms is perfect. The driveway is an added bonus. We highly recommend this property.
Very enjoyable stay in lovely property - would definitely return
We spent 2+ weeks in this cozy cottage in March 2024. House is very comfortable and very well equipped, and has great views looking out over Kinsale harbor. It was great to be able to have coffee on the patio on sunny mornings, and the parking spaces were like gold in the area. Very easy walk to Kinsale town in one direction and CharlesFort in other way. Highly recommended, and hope to return soon.
The Captainâs Cottage is a wonderful, clean, well-equipped place in a primo location. We loved the view out the front windows every day. We even kept watch for Oscar the seal who made occasional appearances in the water in front of the house. Highest praise for this excellent house.
This house is modest and comfortable and exquisitely situated. Wake up and watch sail and fishing boats making their way across the harbor. We never got in a car, walked everywhere, village with pubs and restaurants easily accessible walking. . This Spaniard, a happy, neighborhood pub, and Man Friday, an upscale restaurant provided easy access to neighborhood entertainment. We were at this property for a month. It wasnât long enough.
