Watch passing freighters and the Drummond ferry from the front porch, and dining room. Great in-town location, allows walking to restaurants, shops, stores and coffee shops. Well kept, traditional style home with large dining room, living room, well appointed kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and wrap around porch. Plenty of parking in 2 driveways. Located 3 blocks from Boat Launch.
Charming home, great location. Walking distance to downtown area. Marina right across the street. Unfortunately, the docks were blocked off and we weren't able to acess the unobstructed views of the water for great pictures of the sunrises and ships passing by. House was clean, beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Would definitely stay again.
The property was quaint and spacious and the location provided beautiful views and easy walking access to several smaller stores that had anything that may be necessary for a vacation. The home was well stocked with everything and anything, which made you feel at home. Would stay here again.
This property was in a perfect location to explore the town and the area, with local venues in walking distance. And the house was perfectly supplied with everything we needed! Excellent experience for our group of two couples.
Surpassed all our expectations! The beautiful woodwork in the home, modern incredibly well stocked kitchen, wrap around porch with wicker rockers, a porch swing and outstanding views of the freighter traffic. The village was quaint, friendly and restful. Able to stroll down to the Village Inn Bar (mushroom/swiss burger best Iâve ever had), the Bakery, gift shops, the Mainsail for pizza. Drove to Goetzville Bar and Grille for dinner. Walked my dog every day to the marina pier across the street. Evenings weâd sit on the porch, itâs So quiet! If your life is busy and stressful, this is ideal to unwind and recharge. Hope to stay again!
My original plan was to get a place where I could sit and watch ships go by. This home fit the bill perfectly. I got several pictures of passing ore and cruise ships. Our relatives from Missouri ended up coming along with us and my wife took them to Mackinac Island and we all went to Sault St. Marie on the last day and did a cruise through the locks. The owner of the property goes over and above what we expected and the house was clean and well stocked. There were amenities too many to mention. Very nice!
We didn't have to bring a thing. All the household necessities are there. We pretty much just brought our clothes and some food. We love the property! I especially love the little guest house in the back! I would like it for a little art studio on my property.
My cousins and I enjoyed exploring this part of the Upper Peninsula as it was an area we have yet to visit. The porch was lovely to sit on and enjoy our chats and to watch the sunrise. It has a nice view of the passageway. It was fun to watch all the large shipping barges go by along with the ferry to and from Drummond Island. The boat docks were nice to visit too. The only thing was there was no air conditioning which made some of our nights challenging to get through comfortably. But overall we would recommend this place to others. Gary, the owner, was very nice and easy to work with when we needed his help with a slight bathroom issue.
We really enjoyed our stay. I got a text from the owner in which he stated that we left fish guts in the dumpsters. I phoned him and informed him that I personally cleaned all fish at the fish cleaning station in town. We did NOT leave guts in his dumpsters. We are proud of the way we left the property. I am waiting for a return call from Mr. Dudek.
