This is a wonderful Studio apartment at the El Matador complex on Okaloosa Island with a beautiful balcony view, close walk to the beautiful private beach, close to tennis courts, seasonally heated pool, gym, and hot tub. The unit is well equipped and cozy, kitchen fully furnished, with one King bed and a queen sofa sleeper. This is a unique and tranquil hideaway at the El Matador!!

Beautiful Beach!

Had a great stay! Clean, comfortable and easy access to beach. Pools were very refreshing. Communication with James was flawless and will definitely consider this place again in the future!

Mermaid Condo

Absolutely stunning efficiency. In fact, I plan to use some of the interior design elements in my home. The owners are very nice and easy to reach out to. I plan to stay here again soon.

Nice getaway

Nice cozy condo. Place was supplied with everything we needed, chairs,umbrellas,etc. Short walk to beach. Owner responded promptly to our questions. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Breathtaking View & Comfy Condo

The condo was immaculate and had everything we needed for a short get away! Communication with the owner was great and he answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The view of the gulf was amazing! Spent so much time at the beautiful beach that was just steps away. Would absolutely stay at this location again!

Ft Walton Birthday Getaway

My fiance and I booked a 4 day getaway for her bithday. We had a wonderful time, the condo was awesome, clean, great communication with the owner/agent. Highly recommend it!! I guarantee you will be happy, a very quaint relaxed time!

Family time is the best time!

Thank you for sharing your lil condo with me during my visit with my mom! While I didn’t use any appliances the kitchen was well stocked for anyone who enjoys cooking! The gorgeous white quartz beach is just a few steps away! This is a cute little place to just get away!

Perfect!

The Mermaid Hideaway is very clean and comfortable! It had everything we needed and more. We slept very well on the bed as well as the sofa bed. The El Matador is very nice and immaculately maintained. It was my second stay at El Matador but first time in this unit. I really loved its location. It is in the smaller building on the 2nd floor. It was very convenient to a pool and a very short walk to the beach. While we brought our own beach chairs, it was nice to see that the owners had made their chairs and umbrella available. Great communication from owners - would love to stay here again!

Family Vacation

The unit was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The building itself was also very nice, we had only a few neighbors, who were respectful of quiet times. The building had a nice pool and we were located right next to the tennis/pickleball court, so there was always something to do. Even though this particular building isn't right on the beach, the walk was short. The location was amazing, the beach wasn't super crowded like they are in Destin. We didn't have any restaurants within walking distance, but there were several just down the road. The owner's communication was excellent and very informative. Overall, it was our favorite family trip. Thank you for a great stay! (Family of 3- with teenager)

Perfect little beach studio

I stayed here with my daughter and partner. The studio’s location was wonderful- just a short walk to a beautiful beach. Two great pools on the property and one just steps away. Plenty of restaurants close by. The condo was adorable! All necessary amenities were in place and great personal touches. The pull out couch was comfortable and there were beach chairs and an umbrella available for use. The patio has a high top table and chairs and a couple rattan sitting chairs- perfect for coffee in the morning. I would definitely book again.

Fall Break with the kiddos

I booked this property last minute after canceling a trip to Myrtle Beach due to Hurricane Ian. The owner answered all of my questions promptly and even checked in with us during our stay. The space was cozy and decorated nicely, with everything you could need for cooking and lounging around. Our building housed the heated pool, which was a hit with my younger kiddo. The area was safe enough to allow my teens to walk down to the beach on their own. We really liked that their is an Air Force Base nearby. The beach was private and beautiful. We are counting down the days until we can return. Thanks for a great time!

Short stay near FW beach

Property is an older development on the Fort Walton area beach right next to the Airforce base properties This unit is separate from the main complex and the walk to beach is a few minutes longer accordingly. Dated unit but it all is there and it all functions. Balcony gets the morning sun and has a partial view towards the beach area. Great for a short vaca. Only drawback is its close proximity to the complex maintenance facility which makes for some noise at times during the daytime hours. Didn’t use the pool nor the hot tub area as it was a cooler time of year.

Cozy Getaway

My husband and I had a great week! The condo is older, but it was very clean and well maintained inside and outside. The bed was so comfortable. It had plenty of dishes and appliances. The bathroom had extra hooks on both sides of the door which was nice. The shower had great water pressure and the heated pool was just outside which made it nice! The bathroom sink was a little warn, but it didn’t affect its use. The outside balcony had nice, comfortable seating. There are two stools to sit on inside, but they were not very comfortable. The tv was large enough to see from the couch or the bed. This did not affect us, but if you have trouble with stairs, this is on the second floor with no elevator. I tried to think of the things that are important to us and hope you find this helpful. We definitely recommend this little gem!
