Located on Portage Lake steps from the North Maine Woods with direct access to ITS 90 for snowmobiling. Newly renovated lake house with everything you need including TV's in every room and a well stocked kitchen. Enjoy snowmobiling, hunting, boating, golfing, hiking or just relaxing by the lake. There is a great restaurant just down the road along with a convenience store and gas station. Portage Hills Country Club is just up the hill for the golfers in the family. Everything you'd need for a great get away is at your fingertips.

Annual summer vacation

Matt's place is perfect for our family. This is our second year staying and will be back again next year. Kids enjoyed kayaking, s'mores at the fire pit, fishing and swimming.

Very clean and decorated perfectly as a lake house. The kitchen was very well equipped, even having spices for cooking. The beds were comfortable and made with high quality bedding. The property has Internet, cable TV in every bedroom and the living room. The backyard has a large grassy private lawn and covered porch with plenty of seating, a propane grill and fire pit and private access to the lake. Portage lake is dreamy -- perfect for paddling. We hope to return next year for a longer stay. A week isn't long enough.

Great Moose Hunting Camp!

This camp was perfect for our moose hunt. You can literally see the access road to the North Maine Woods from the driveway. Plenty of parking, and great view of Portage Lake. The camp was exceptionally clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and property!

Very cozy, clean, and in a lovely location. Easy check-in and check-out, and Matt was easy to communicate with. Very short walk to the public beach, and the house was easy to find on Google Maps. Loved hanging out in the backyard. Thanks Matt!

North Maine Woods Getaway

The house was very clean as always and I enjoyed the festive fall decor! What always impresses me is that they have anything you would need or forget at home on hand. Chargers, cooking utensils, etc. The property is very well equipped for a comfortable stay!

Wonderful place to stay

Cottage was clean, conveniently located, well stocked and great outdoor space with a beautiful view. It has a evening low light ambience. If you want to read or need a lot of light to do something, it definitely needs more lights or different bulbs in the common spaces and Bedrooms only have end table lamps. Lots of hot water for showers and laundry.

Amazing find!

A month before coming to Maine we needed to find a new place to stay - Matt made everything easy and and answered all our questions. He even talked us through restarting the water heater while he was busy working. Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to come back!!

Perfect location for snowmobiling

Beautiful camp right off ITS 85. Everything we needed was right there. Matt gave us great advise of where to ride and he was spot on. Thanks again Matt!! Will definitely be back.

Northwoods Trip

Matt was an excellent host! He picked up the phone and answered texts immediately. I have stayed at 4 properties in the area and this was the best. The house had everything you would ever need to enjoy your stay from phone chargers to cooking/serving items, comfy beds, etc. The property was beautiful, right on the Lake and directly across from the the Northwoods entrance.

Portage - Fire pit with great view

The camp was very nice and clean. The kitchen was certainly very well equipped. We cooked each night and had wonderful family dinners. Enjoyed the fire pit most nights just relaxing some and having smore's. Our grandson loved having the cornhole game to play. Matt emailed if we needed anything to just let him know. We didn't need anything but it was great to know he was available if needed. A wonderful camp and we all enjoyed it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Matt's house, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The property is situated in a perfect location, right on the lake, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The convenience of the location cannot be overstated – it provided easy access to nearby attractions and activities, making our stay both enjoyable and hassle-free. The house itself is beautifully maintained and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. From the comfortable furnishings to the modern amenities, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to ensure guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. The spacious layout was perfect for our group, allowing everyone to have their own space while still feeling cozy and connected. One of the highlights of our stay was the direct access to the lake. Absolutely loved the place and lake. Much more room in the camp than I thought. The only downside, which is very minor, was the amount of traffic and close proximity to the road.
