What a wonderful stay. The hosts are wonderful and friendly people who helped make our stay a great experience. Great setting and location. Close to what you need and far enough away to forget the things you don't. Definitely coming back.

Location was great for country getaway that is close to Texas Lutheran University events. BrokenRoad farm provides easy way to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures of farm life.

Everything was awesome!! I only wish that we could have stayed longer. The accommodations were clean and the house was very welcoming. The animals were also adorable and well cared for.

We needed to be in both San Antonio and Austin this week, and this rental was perfectly situated in between the two. It was so nice walking around in the morning, or after we got back in the evening, greeting all the animals. It’s such a beautiful, quiet setting. The house was charming and spacious and had everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again if I’m ever back in the area.

Oh my god, I can't say enough about how much we love this place. The host for fabulous. So friendly so welcoming. We are New Yorkers who had an opportunity to be part of a farm. We'd love giving the animals treats. The horses the chickens and in particular Mabel the pig. The scenery was fantastic. Sunsets that were unbelievable. Again I cannot say enough about this place. It is now our Texas home whenever we go to visit. Andrew and Jennifer are the best. And mabel we miss you.

Only issue was the directions the app sent us to was actually their neighbors but then we figured it out! Otherwise, beautiful property, Andrew was home alone and asked if he could sit and chat! I think he missed his wife! next time we are heading that way we will most definitely stay with them.

Short Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were nice and the property was very relaxing. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location was convenient to San Marcos while also being out of town. We would definitely consider returning here for future trips.

We had a great stay for the 2 nights that we were there. It was extra nice to wake up and have some animals outside the house. Horses, Pigs, Chickens and Roosters.

Love all the animals! The space is very comfy and fun. Great location that’s not too far away from the city but far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful, responsive hosts! The amenities were just right, especially in the kitchen and bathroom.

Great being in the country on the edge of town. All attractions are close by. My family loved the horses, pig, chickens and quail. We will be staying here again when we see another show at Gruene Hall.

Beautiful property, nice and quiet and relaxing. Use to animals so I didn't mind the horses or chickens or geese. Nice pond on the property and easy to walk around if you want to. Owners very helpful and made me feel at home. Highly recommend if you're looking for quiet and comfortable.

The other reviews I read for this place, were spot on.

It was a lovely stay and the fresh food grown on site and the animals they tend were lovely to behold when a person sees primarily concrete jungle in the city. The couple was very friendly and helpful.

Very cute and cozy!!

The AC was blasting which was great to walk in to in this summer heat! There was coffe, tea and ice packs there! They had snacks for all the critters so we could feed them

The owners were amazing! The property featured a variety of farm animals that the kids enjoys getting to feed and pet. If you’re looking for a quiet country setting close to shopping and fun you definitely need to check this place out!

The hosts were friendly and neighborly but did not intrude in our space. We loved the area and location out of the hustle and bustle of the city but was close enough to be convenient. The hosts gathered farm fresh eggs for us which was a very nice touch. We would love to stay again!

Mom/daughter getaway

Thus is such a beautiful property! Very welcoming hosts. Out in the country, but close to activities. It was so quiet, the sunset was gorgeous! Very secure and private. Accommodations were very roomy more than adequate for the two of us.
