The Best View in Trinity East

We have stayed at Hogarth a number of times and the covered porch and view is what draws us back each time. The home is spotless, and cozy, perfect for a family and friends. The host has been wonderful communicating with us, and we hope to continue our yearly visits to Trinity East.

Annual getaway with friends

This is our 4th year meeting our friends for a catch up weekend at Hogarth House. It’s perfect for the 5 of us to enjoy the area by taking walks, playing card games and having a glass of wine by the beautiful fireplace!

Stunning Property in a Perfect Location

Everything about this place is as good (or better) than it looks online. There are a handful of top-notch choices in the Trinity and Trinity East area, but the advantage of Hogarth House is that it combines modern comfort, stunning views AND relative privacy. Being within walking distance of the world class Skerwink trail and easy driving distance to Trinity and many other hiking trails was a huge plus.We had one minor service hiccup in that housekeeping did not leave us a key to the house (the door was unlocked as usual when we arrived), but part of the Newfoundland charm is that you really DON’T need to lock anything up! We left our doors unlocked during the day while we were out hiking and iceberg spotting. It certainly never bothered us.The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed. We did not use the wood burning fireplace (one side opens to the living room, the other to the outside screened in porch) but it looked amazing.Three full bathrooms with shower/tub combinations was greatly appreciated for our family of five. We felt like idiots trying to turn on the water to the shower faucet because the design is not at all intuitive. Once the water is running from the bathtub faucet you need to pull down on the ring/end of the bathtub faucet spigot in order to divert the water to the shower head.We are already looking forward to when we can next stay at Hogarth House!

2nd Wonderful Stay at Hogarth House

This was our 2nd visit to Hogarth House. As with our 1st stay in 2022, everything was wonderful. The house was the perfect home base for exploring the Bonavista Peninsula. Great view across the harbor to the Village of Trinity & Fort Point Lighthouse. Depending on the weather, enjoy the view from the outdoor deck, the enclosed porch or the upstairs reading nook. Fireplaces in both the living room & on the porch are great for chilly days (ample firewood supplied). Comfortable furniture & nicely decorated. Quiet, private location. Close to several hiking trails, 15 min. to Trinity, 35 min. to Bonavista. Overall, highly recommended.

Trinity Bay Paradise

Simply perfect in every way. Art, architecture, scenic location, proximity to fantastic hiking, whale watching, pubs& restaurants. Short drive to historic Trinity and the Fort Point Lighthouse.I can’t say enough. We didn’t want to leave!

Beautiful home

Hogarth House is the castle on the hill. It’s beautifully appointed. The kitchen had all the utensils you could possibly need. All the rooms are beautifully furnished. We wish we could have spent a week or more. We hope to return for a longer visit.

Incredible View

This home was absolutely beautiful! Tucked away in the hills of East Trinity overlooking the historic town of Trinity. If we had to say anything negative it would be that there was no smart TV as advertised. Essential requirement for our elderly mother as she was housebound. There was a DVD player but did not work.

amazing home away from home

This home is the best property we have ever stayed in. Every detail is considered - from an extremely well equipped kitchen, to wood in fireplaces set up, wonderfully comfortable beds, etc. The view across to Trinity is amazing. Outside porch with fireplace is an amazing spot. All in all we would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to explore the Bonavista peninsula. Thank you so much.

Exceptional

This vacation rental property has everything you need for great holiday experience. The view of Trinity and the lighthouse is magical. The kitchen provided the opportunity to cook gourmet meals. We purchased snow crabs from a fisherman in Melrose and of course, jennifer had all the pots and utensils. The house was super clean and comfortable. We will absolutely stay here again.

Trinity East gem

We stayed at this secluded property for a Labour Day weekend wedding. It was a refuge after busy days and during the calm early mornings. We even managed to have a fire, and could have spent more time enjoying the amenities. Three bathrooms are a bonus (but could use directions on how to turn on the showers — we did figure it out lol).

Exceptional property

The view, the front deck, the fireplaces. Wow. I do believe this is the most beautiful property we’ve ever stayed in. I said this the last time I visited the Trinity area (another property) and I heard it from others staying in other locations in the area. Must be something in the water!

Absolutely beautiful

This is a beautiful house with an amazing view. We were a party of two couples and one young adult. The house had lots of space (having three full bathrooms was a major plus). The online pictures hardly do it justice. So many outstanding features including a well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful front patio that stretches the length of the house, a screened porch, and a second floor "reading nook". I wish we could have stayed longer and we would love to come again.

Best Home Rental Ever

This beautiful home in Trinity was a the best home rental we have stayed in period! The home was a great location overlooking the bay from a huge wraparound porch with a closed in side porch with a double fireplace with enough firewood to get through several winters. The home was spotless, decorated beautifully and came with all the amenities you could imagine. The kitchen was so well stocked , you could cook or bake whatever you might want. The bathrooms were spotless ,linens immaculate and heated floors were a lovely surprise on a cool evening. No detail was missed! If we return to this area, we would definitely rent this home again! Fabulous!

Magnificent location and property

We just spent a wonderful, tranquil 2 weeks at this spectacular property. Everything about the house was top grade, as was the help provided when we had a very minor issue we needed remedied. The views are so good from the living room and porch, we were content to stay put and look out at the bay and mountain. I didn’t realize it when we booked with Jennifer, but the Skerwink Hiking Trail is a 2 minute drive away with views to rival any anywhere. The puffins in nearby Elliston were a highlight as were the whales in Bonavista. I rented a Fatbike that was dropped off at nearby Rexton and rode the train rail trail. What a hoot. We’ll remember our trip to Hogarth House for many years to. One.
