Beautiful lake home at a private camp

Our charming new lake cabin is located on our private summer camp property on Lake Galilee, just East of Mellen, WI. Wake up to amazing sunrises over the lake!
You will have access to 60 beautiful acres of camp property for some beautiful hikes on our nature trail, as well as access to canoes, paddleboards, and kayaks to use on our 212 acre, quiet lake. You also have access to our Pickle Ball/Tennis/Basketball Court right next to the cabin! If you stay during the winter, the snowmobile trail is right next to our property with easy access. The property and surrounding area is also great for ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and downhill skiing! Hunting is not allowed on the property. Located 10 minutes from Copper Falls State Park, 25 minutes from Whitecap Mountain, and within 30 minutes from Saint Peter's Dome/Morgan Falls, Potato Falls, Upson Falls, and Wren Falls. We're also less than an hour from Bayfield and Hayward.

A great little cabin with full kitchen, this was the perfect weekend get away for local hikes. Getting to use the cabins kayak was a complete bonus!

Weekend getaway

Short Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was just what we were looking for. Well stocked with the all necessities required. It was clean, modern, with plenty of room, of course there was only two of us. Proximity to Copper Falls State Park was excellent. The property is designed as a camp for kids during the summer, but was completely vacant when we were there. I'm not sure what it is like with the camp open, but great in the spring and fall. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Getaway

The home was incredible. Lots on land with a peaceful lake view. We enjoyed going out on the water, nights by the fire, and serene sleep. Definitely want to come back!

Great modern bunkhouse on a beautiful lake

We needed a spot to crash while exploring the Mellen area. The property was clean, well stocked, and located on a great property. The fire pit and fire wood were seriously impressive.

Perfect place for our needs

The cabin was a perfect place for our needs! We wanted a winter getaway close for winter hiking Copper Falls State Park (within a few minutes) and Meyers Beach near Cornicopia (about an hour away). The cabin was large with a well-stocked kitchen to make our breakfasts before heading out and cozy with a gas fireplace to hang out by at night when we came in from the cold.

Peaceful and relaxing

We enjoyed having the place it ourselves. Lots of nature. Several deer grazing close to the cabin. Cabin was very clean and felt like home. Would highly recommended.

Cozy Retreat with Great Views and Reliable Wi-Fi Near Copper Falls

This home was just as promised! It was light and airy inside, with good heat (it was a chilly weekend). I loved the fireplace, too! It had a really good night sky view and was very close to Copper Falls State Park. The trees around the property and lake had great fall colors as well. As an added plus, the internet service was very good. I paired this with a work trip, and the internet was strong enough for video meetings with no problems. I would happily stay here again.

Short trip in the snow

Quick trip with wife to see some Waterfalls. Property was clean and drive was plowed. Host was attentive and reassured us that even with 18” snow fall that we could get to the property and that they would be close if we needed them. Kitchen was well stocked.

Vous êtes reçu par Erik and Kelly Rossebo

Erik and Kelly Rossebo own and manage Camp Eagle Ridge on Lake Galilee. They have four adult children living in the Milwaukee area. When summer camp is not in session, Kelly and Erik love to travel and enjoy friends and sports.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This property is absolutely gorgeous! Plenty of woods for hiking, and plenty of open area to enjoy as well. Beautiful Minnow Creek flows out of Lake Galilee and through the middle of the property. The 100 foot pier, equipped with a ten foot bench, is great for watching sunrises, relaxing, and fishing. The gazebo next to the cabin is also a great place to gather and relax.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Because this property is also a summer camp, you will have access to paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and a pickleball/tennis/basketball court (for tennis and pickleball you will need your own net), and volleyball court are available. If you have more than 6 people, there are 4 additional bedrooms available to rent in the main lodge.
