Fenced Yard, Pet Friendly, Cozy Cottage , Great Kitchen, Short Walk to Cal Poly
This comfortable two bedroom cottage is efficiently tucked away in the back corner of a large lot on a country cul-de-sac affording the convenience of a 10 minute walk to town, a 7 minute walk to Cal Poly Humboldt, a 3 minute drive to 101 and the quiet privacy of a rolling rural road. The refurbished original wood floors bring a classic yet new golden beauty to every room. The updated kitchen with cherry wood cabinets and prosumer Bosch and Viking appliances brings equal delight to preparing quick small meals for one or two as it does to being the central gathering point serving up a banquet of varied dishes when entertaining a moderate crowd. Open the sliding glass door and you effectively extend the kitchen to include a propane grill, an additional table and chairs and a long deck allowing up to 20 people to bask in the beautiful summer weather at the same time. Steps at the end of the deck lead to a fully enclosed yard for your exclusive use during your stay so your furry family members can bask in the beautiful summer sun with you so do not feel left out. The driveway next to the cottage fits two cars comfortably. Should you have extra guests, street parking is free, convenient, readily available, and restricted only by your imagination (and common sense, of course. We still live in a civilized society). A washer and dryer are available on the premises as well as a pool table and well-equipped exercise room.
Enlever les articles personnels, enlever les restes de nourriture et de boisson et sortir les poubelles
If you traveled with dogs or other guests who relieved themselves in the yard, please remove the doodoo. You may place it in a plastic bag tied tightly closed and deposited in an outdoor trash can
House was difficult to find. PIN code to front door was inaccurate, couldnât get a hold of owner by phone or message. A neighbor knew the code to let us in, which is unnerving itself. Not enough toilet paper left. No sheets for the futon in living room. Coin operated portion of the washing machine was not working. Owner slow to respond. Issues with Internet and logging into own subscription accounts on TVs in bedrooms. Location was good for driving to nearby activities. May be ok for a short stay. Not great for a week long with teens.
Nice and quiet, wonderful for being so close to the freeway. My contact was very helpful and it had a nice, well secured yard for the birds we were traveling with.
Great place as promised, kitchen stocked, clean, nicely laid out, super close to Humboldt State. Prop manager easily available if needed, which we didn't - no issues at all
We absolutely loved this place. It was super clean, safe, and cozy and made the perfect home away from home for our trip to Redwood National park. It was EXACTLY like it appears in the photos and the host really puts some nice effort into thoughtful extras that made us feel super comfortable in a new environment. It was only 6 minutes away from the most beautiful community forest (with hiking trails!) that I've ever seen in my life. Quiet and cute neighborhood with tons of delicious restaurants nearby! Fenced yard was perfect for our dogs to have a private and easy place to do their business. The provided dog towels were a lovely, thoughtful touch and really came in handy after our beach days!Check-in and out was the easiest I've ever experienced and made for a seamless vacation for us and our two dogs. Everything was so well prepared that we only needed to contact the host once and he responded immediately!A What a trip Thanks Craig!
Quiet and clean. It is older and no frills. Definitely a bit tricky to locate as it is located behind another home. We really only slept and showered. Did not spend a ton of time. Quiet at night and appreciated being able to have our dogs. .
Arrived earlier enough to cook dinnerHad everything with us, and host had dishes pots and pans and some essential spices.Comfy not formal relax neighborhood. Its weathered (outside)but super chill clean and spacious comfortable true to the pictures! Would rent Again!
We enjoyed our stay but had to cut it short for personal reasons. We appreciated the personal touches provided by the owner, but would have liked more specific directions to get to the house, which was off the street in an alley with only a mailbox across the street to identify the house number. Very quiet neighborhood behind an elementary school, would stay there again.
Visited daughter who went to Humboldt and just got a new job in Arcata working under her degree. Had family and friends for dinner (wonderful stove) as after Thanksgiving, pre Christmas as she will be unable to come home for the holidays. Husband and daughter went crabbing. Good time had by all.
The place had plenty of space. The heaters worked. It is sparse. Bring toilet paper, papers towels, soap, shampoo, hand towels, kitchen towels. Host did provide coffee. The beds were pretty comfortable. It's quiet.
This was a good place to just come to in order to sleep but with the comfort of having your own space. Beds were hard but my Mom liked it & me & my wife did not. Plenty of space for the 3 of us for 2 days to actually only be there to sleep and go do our vacation stuff. There was a couple issues but the host took care of right away. One wasn't his fault the Internet which was great was just acting up the other was there were no towels or a bath matt as well as no TP but once notified he brought it right down & later his other partner brought down more for us. Craig was extremely nice and friendly and he even took the time helping me by giving me some tips on finding the cheaper places to get gas in the area. Overall it was a good stay and worth what we paid for the 2 nights we stayed.
The house could have presented better from the outside, but it was clean and well maintained on the inside. The landlord was very responsive to our request to gain wifi access.
Loved being close to campus. Nice park for doggie at the end of the street. Excellent appliances in kitchen. My only "needs improvement" was the yard...sadly, other visitors didn't bring dog poop bags.
Great place for pets. Fenced yard. Our dog was able to be in the house. Owner is super cool. Great kithchen, gas grill outside. We stayed a month and thoroughly enjoyed every day
The property is on the edge of town, down an alley that leads to several units. The neighbors were extremely nice. The house is nicely setup for traveling with dogs, with a small backyard. The inside is modest, comfortable and very cleam.
