Experience the natural East Hampton beauty that inspired so many great artists.
Recently renovated, light and airy house with open plan kitchen, living, dining area. Rustic and simple yet elegant with cathedral ceilings and windows all around. Sliding doors to deck with Weber gas grill overlooking lovely grounds. Spacious outdoor shower adjacent to deck. All 3 bedrooms have queen-sized beds, and master bedroom has elegant ensuite bathroom.
Walk out the door onto the spectacular beauty and calm beaches of Gerard Drive. Great biking area with easy rides to Gerard Point and Louse Point beaches, the Springs Farmers Market and local yard sales. Regular art exhibits at Ashawagh Hall, Pollock-Krasner House, the Fireplace Project and town galleries. The house comes with kayaks (2 double and 1 single) and 5 bicycles. Great bird watching with daily sightings of egrets, osprey, wild turkey, and the occasional eagle. Pick some fresh herbs or ripe vegetables from the garden. Access to Clearwater Beach with playground and lifeguards for families with young children and docking for boaters. Short drive to spectacular East Hampton and Amagansett beaches, shopping and dining in East Hampton Village and the lively night life of nearby Montauk.
There is a one-time cleaning fee and discounts available for both booking in advance and for long term rentals.
An ideal spot for a great vacation. (And for work! Last year people rented it for an extended vacation/remote work combination which they said worked great for them.)

"We rented for the month of July and did a combination of vacation and work which was a great way to extend our stay! Great to work from home or just for a leisurely trip. The house is lovely, with a fully equipped kitchen, great light and high cathedral ceilings. Very cozy and homie. It is easy to just walk out the door and be surrounded by the bay and marshes or to drive to East Hampton Beaches. We biked around the neighborhood and to the bay almost everyday. Adam is very flexible and the communications were easy. We had a great and fun stay. Highly recommend!!" - Federica

My husband and I were tenants at 1117 Fireplace Road for more than six months last year. We loved the house, its natural light and its tasteful furnishings. We couldnât have asked for more responsive landlords. Adam is a great communicator who responds quickly - I was always able to stay in touch with him via text, phone and/or email. When my husband needed a handrail at the side entrance following a leg injury, Adam quickly arranged for his handyman to build a rail for us.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the appliances are easy to care for. The house is well located with easy access to town and walking distance to Gerard Driveâs scenic beaches.
We lived in the house through the winter - we kept the thermostat at 70 degrees and we were always cozy - there are no drafts. In short, we can recommend renting from Adam with no reservations." - Sharon & Hy

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
This is an amazingly area that still has the natural beauty of a small oceanfront community but is only 5 miles from East Hampton. We have a nature preserve on one side and diagonally across the street, leading out into a bay/marsh area. The light is clear and warm and it is easy to see why this particular little community became a center for the visual arts. That tradition continues in Ashawagh Hall which has weekly shows by local artists. (It was actually a teaching outpost for the Museum of Modern Art.)
It also has all we needed for a relaxed escape: a farmers' market, a general store, a great little wine store and a surprisingly good pizza place.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
It is has great style but is not pretentious. The living room, dining room and kitchen feel very open, and connects to the deck which is great for BBQing making it an easy place to live.
