Terrazas del Sol is a family vacation compound perfect for large gatherings up to 12 people. Private property with 2 villas, Casa A and Casa B. Both Casa's have been recently upgraded, including newly renovated kitchens, a newly renovated infinity pool with a covered swim up bar and BBQ kitchen area. Beautiful Pacific Ocean vistas featuring incredible sunsets. Located just above Playa Prieta (walking distance) and withing earshot of of the surf.

The property features a total of 6 bedrooms and two lofts with 4 full baths and 2 half baths. Two full gourmet kitchens with gas cooktops. Fully fenced with a gated entrance. Close to Playa Potrero, Las Catalinas and Playa Flamingo (with the just completed world class Flamingo marina)

Mature gardens with Mango and Lime trees. Large terrace areas both covered and uncovered for sun or shade.

On site gardener/security and once per week maid service.

The property was stunning. The perfect venue for our families to gather. The separate casitas made it perfect for us to have our own space but still be together. Sunsets are amazing! The pool and swim-up bar were crowd favorites for sure. House was clean and very well stocked with anything we needed. The owner/manager were responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Rental

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The house was great for both of our families and everything you would ever need was provided. Beds were great. Pool was awesome. Couldn't have been better.

Splendid views & gorgeous home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - plenty of room for our 2 families in light filled homes, relaxing pool, swim up bar and fun BBQ area. Our host Sue was responsive and helpful. Pura vida.

Beautiful property!

We had an awesome week staying at this beautiful property! We loved the view and the sound of the ocean. Saw one of the most beautiful sunsets of my life from the patio! Close to great beaches and restaurants. Sue was awesome and made check-in and check-out super easy. Fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, chairs, everything you need.

Multi generation vacation

Casa del Sol worked very nicely for our group of 9 (5 adults and 4 children). Having 2 houses gave us some space but we could all fit around the patio table for family meals. The kitchens are very well stocked. Beautiful sunsets view. We enjoyed the location: playa Prieta is a gem, close to several eco park and zip lines, surfing and off shore fishing. Highly recommend.

Playa Prieta Paradise

We rented the whole property which comprises two self-contained homes sharing an entrance gate and pool/outdoor kitchen. The homes were comfortable and well-stocked. The pool here is the best - sunset views, clean and well-maintained and the perfect temperature. Management were very accessible when needed. I highly recommend this place, and the area. Playa Prieta is the nearest and prettiest "locals" beach around.

Fantastic Vacation for Two Families

We had an amazing time staying at Terrazas del Sol for our first trip to Costa Rica. We had two families with a total of 4 adults and 5 children and had more than enough room. The infinity pool was great for cooling off. The walk to Playa Prieta took about 10 minutes with the kids, but it was well worth it - we felt like we had the beach to ourselves much of the time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We hope to visit again someday soon.

We were 5 couples for 9 days. Was gorgeous home and hostess/host could not of been better. We had transportation issue on golf carts we had rented- nothing to do with them. Sue/Todd came and helped us get rental, was like meeting with friends. Again home is beautiful and relaxing. Extremely great stay - go for it well worth it, can’t wait to go back. Thank you for the stay and your help JD

A Beautiful Escape

We truly enjoyed our stay at Terrazas Del Sol. The property was prettier than in the pictures with great views of the water, horses and countryside. The home was immaculately kept, a had great house keeper and a beautiful, clean pool. There was plenty of space and privacy for one or two families in each unit. Local restaurants were walkable as was the beach and several excursions. It’s a great area for short hikes and adventures. A coffee shop is also within walking distance. We do recommend grocery shopping as the house has a great outdoor kitchen where you can cook while enjoying the sunset. Sue was helpful and accessible. We would love to come back!

Great place for a family get together!

We are a family of 9 adults who needed to spend Christmas together for a week after being apart last year due to Covid. This compound is exactly what we wanted. It had plenty of room for all of us along with large stocked kitchens, a wonderful outdoor dining table that seats all of us, a lovely infinity pool, and the sunset views over the ocean are incredible! The owners are super helpful and responsive to every question we had. They are genuinely nice people and made us feel at home. They answered immediately every text we sent with questions while there. Mingo maintained the pool and fixed some plumbing. Yami cleaned and even folded clothes! The location is close to town. We had neighbors but it was still very quiet and very private. The compound is extremely well maintained and clean and up to date. The photos that you see are exactly what is there.

Perfect for our family vacation

The houses at this property were perfect for our family of 12. We had two families with two kids each, two grandmas and another father and his daughter who stayed there comfortably. We were initially a little disappointed the room/bed layouts were not as described but were able to make it work. The pullout couch needed to be cleaned and we had a few maintenance issues with the stove, AC and pool, but Nathan and his on site staff were able to accommodate us. It was a quick drive to the town but as with a lot of the country expect some interesting roads. I’d recommend renting a car for simplicity. We loved the pool and the view was unbeatable! We also enjoyed checking out all aspects of the property and the native animals and vegetation. I’d recommend going to Playa Pencha over Potrero for a more classic beach experience. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for the great memories!

Our journey to Costa Rica started about 20 years ago on a family vacation to Guanacaste. It was our first time traveling to such a country and I was totally in awe. The monkeys and birds stole my heart. The people were so kind and it was amazing to feel safe driving in a foreign country where we didn't speak the language. I declared right then and there that someday I would move to Costa Rica and make it home.
Now, fast forward to 2019. It was my husbands birthday and I booked a trip to Costa Rica. We hadn't been back since the first trip. I told him on the plane that we were going to meet with a travel agent and look at properties. He thought I was joking since I am not a very spontaneous person.
Well, we visited around 10 homes in the Tamarindo and Potrero areas. I wanted enough bedrooms for our family to visit and a view. When we drove up out front of Terrazas del Sol I knew right away that this was the place - it felt right. We bought it that day and have never looked back.
Although we are not full time residents, we do spend 6 months there every year with the remainder of the year spent in Toronto, Canada.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Potrero is a quiet small town with a great mix of locals and expats.

We are a quick 10 min walk to the 2 beaches in front of us and also a quick drive to numerous others. So we are able to experience all the different types of sand and ocean currents.

There are lots of different grocery stores which stock local fare as well as numerous imported products. There is also every type of restaurant you can imagine. Pizza, Burgers, Italian, Indian, Argentinian, Sushi, Costa Rican and so on. So it is very easy to cook at home or find a different cuisine every night.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Terrazas del Sol consists of 2 - 3 bedroom houses, both with there own kitchen, dining room and living room as well as a great shared outside space with a terrace, pool, dining area and seating area. So if 2 families are travelling together, after a full day of excursions, they can both have there own space to relax or a great combined area to continue there enjoyment
