Gayles - Lakeview Cottage

Gayles is located in the private Holiday Haven community in Rockbridge and is within 30 minutes of the popular Hocking Hills attractions and sleeps up to 6 guests. Featuring views of the private lake in Holiday Haven and easy access to the dock and swimming area. From the front deck you have views of the lake, the patio off the lower level features a 6 person hot tub, outdoor tv, and an indoor/outdoor bar area.

Holiday Haven is a private community in Rockbridge, Ohio.

Our cottage has two bedrooms and a full bath in the lower level, each with a queen bed. The main floor has a full bath, along with the living space and a fully stocked kitchen. From the living room you have windows and French door to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. Off the front of the house is a large deck with an outdoor dining set. On the side of the house there is a patio with a 6 person hot tub, outdoor tv with seating, and a path leading to the firepit. In a door off the patio you will find a bar area that features seating, a sink and mini fridge. The windows above the bar counter open in to fully enjoy the whole space.

The property is located off of a private gravel road. FWD/AWD is recommended.

Cell service is very limited in the area. Internet is provided, but can be slow and spotty at times. Streaming is not guaranteed. Due to the location, we do experience occasional outages out of our control.

For the security of our guests and the safety of our home we will have an external security camera located by the front door facing the parking area.

Perfect place to stay in Hocking Hills! Our family enjoyed having a comfortable place to call home for the week while we explored many well-known places and hiked several miles throughout the area. These destinations were all well within reasonable driving distance. This rental was awesome with everything we needed. Plus a beautiful lake to swim in and a clean hot tub to relax in. Each of us remarked on how very comfortable the mattresses all were! We highly recommend this location and look forward to recommending this rental to our friends in the future.

The inside of the property was well stocked and clean. The property was three floors, loft bedroom on top, living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom on main floor, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the lowest level. The main floor bathroom had a zero entry shower which was helpful for those with limited mobility.

The property was great. It was as appeared in the listing. It also had a good amount of starter supplies which were more than enough for our 4 night stay. It was pretty remote. 15 minutes to get to any type of store, restaurant or gas station. So definitely want to plan accordingly. But it was great for our family to enjoy a long weekend away hiking in the park and swimming in the pond in the afternoon!

View was amazing! Our family went kayaking on the lake, it was such a calm place. Host communicated very well. House was cozy and clean: Kudos to the host for a well kept property! Would definitely recommended:)

We were so pleased with Gayles! My family loved the hot tub and fishing in the lake. We appreciated how homey the house was, with comfortable beds, a large hot water tank, and a stocked kitchen. Everything was very clean. When we had a minor concern, the host responded quickly with resolution. The short drive to hiking spots was a big draw for us. We had a wonderful time!

Our stay was amazing! This was our second annual trip to the same cottage and we enjoyed it so much!!! The access to the lake was absolutely amazing and it was the perfect setting for a relaxing, special girls trip!

We had a wonderful stay. Place is as advertised. Love the pond for fishing and playing. Close to Hocking Hills sites. Would stay again.

I think what I would have change, it staying at least one extra night. It is clean, has everything you need, accesible, quiet, very close to the state park. I will totally be coming back!

Relaxing Lakeside Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this very clean an updated property. Would highly recommend this cabin for a trip to Hocking Hills.

My best friend and I went for a much needed girls trip get away for the summer to relax. The place was very clean and neat and perfect ly equipped for our stay. We were able to do hiking at Old Man’s Cave and also went to the Hocking Hills Winery. We would definitely stay again in the future. The host was very attentive. Beautiful lake and location.

Friends Trip

We had a great time taking our kids away for the weekend. Quick 30 minute drive to Old Man’s Cave, hot tub on site and relaxing environment.The house is super cozy, extremely clean and a great place to stay.

Hocking hills hiking trip

The 5 us enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, updated and spacious and we appreciated the 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The loft space was fun for the kids and the hot tub was amazing! We’d stay there again!

Property was great, very clean and comfortable. My teens loved the fishing lake and we all loved the hot tub. We will be back soon.
