Roomy living area, 2 bedrooms plus den with XL twin bed, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6. Handicap friendly, fully equipped, has whatever you need to cook a yummy meal. Large DVD movie selection. 2 block walk to the river, less than a mile to downtown. Quiet neighborhood you can hear the river from the patio table. Kernville has a award winning brewery about 2mi. from the house. Kernville is approx. 25 miles from Trail of 100 giants (Redwood forest).
The owners were very nice and easily to communicate with. The home interior was very old with 2 broken recliners and a fridge that didnât keep our food or drinks cold.
My name is Carolyn Jack. I'm retired. I was born and raised in Bakersfield CA. My parents who have both passed left me this home so that my girls and grandkids could enjoy it for years to come. Kernville has always been near and dear to my heart. I am trying to keep this house so I decided to rent it out as a vacation place so that it can support itself. I have this place the way I would want to stay in it. I try to stay here as often as I can. My caretakers and myself work hard to keep this place clean and comfortable for our guests.
My folks choose this house because it was handicap friendly. My mother was in a wheel chair. The hallway and doorways are wider. It has handrails in the bathrooms as well. There is a sidewalk so you can go from front to the back in a wheelchair. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The neighbors are very friendly. I like that we can hear the river from the patio.
