First property had been trashed by previous renter and not ready for our stay. We got in late on Thanksgiving with check-in only being after 4:00. Texted the property manager the next morning. Eventually, reached the onsite manager. The onsite manager agreed there was a problem and was able to speak to the property manager. He gave us a choice of two other properties. The clean one had the kitchen in the bedroom and no workspace which was critical to our initial decision. We got a second option in a different building under full renovation. It was cleaner but missing towels and was unheated when we got there. It turns out it wasnât my set up to be heated so we spent the day in a low 50âs degree room. The onsite manager came back in the evening and figured out how to turn on the gas and the the fire place. Apparently, the fireplace was meant to be the main source of heat. Of the other two wall heaters were in the bathrooms, the knob was missing on the one you needed to adjust it with but we eventually learned to use it with the breaker. The other room had a non-functioning heater and no access to the fireplace heat. There was n it was just a miserable experience.o fixing it. It was now our second uncomfortable evening and we let the onsite manager know weâd be leaving a day early, the next morning. We said we expected to get a 1/3 of our rental back to which he thanked us for being reasonable considering and still we hadnât heard or received a red from the property manager.
