Magnifique 2000 pieds carrés, 1. 5 étages de chêne, maison en bois rond donnant sur (et accès direct à) le fleuve Mississippi. 3 chambres / 2 salles de bain. (3ème chambre est mezzanine). La maison dort 7. Nouvelle cuisine avec appareils en granit et inox! Joliment meublé!

Immense solarium et terrasse 27x20 ... idéal pour regarder les levers et couchers de soleil et profiter de la vue!

Emplacement de choix pour observer les pygargues à tête blanche, les cerfs, la Turquie, les loutres de rivière, les canards exotiques en hiver ... et nager, pêcher, bateau en été!

Maison entourée de 100 acres de terres agricoles; donnant une grande intimité. Ambiance champêtre, mais à seulement 16 km de la I-70 et de la rue St. Peters / St. Charles. ... pour ceux d'entre vous qui n'ont pas besoin et qui ne recherchent pas les commodités d'un hôtel de luxe, mais qui recherchent plutôt une escapade de vacances agréable et confortable dans un joli chalet en rondins.

brief winter getaway

Booked property hoping for normal mild January, unfortunately was significantly colder and limited to indoor usage. House was perfect and bigger than pictured, porch is 3 season and outdoor stove was unable to use but didn't need and actually protected the house to keep it warmer . saw 14 bald eagles and 4 coyotes across the slough on the island. Will book during warmer weather to utilize the outdoor areas. Last mile is gravel farm roads but still 17 minutes to the interstate.

Girls weekend

Another wonderful girls weekend is now in the books! The river cabin is beautiful, comfortable and so convenient for all of us. We saw eagles and deer. Watched the barges and pleasure boats cruising the river. The stone patio is a great place to sit and relax and watch nature!Can’t wait tin next year!

Get away!

Such a fun location! A relaxing venue with everything we needed. The cabin was perfect for our family weekend. Very comfortable and decorated so perfectly. Coffee on the patio watching fish jumping and ducks flying. The Mississippi River is so serene!

Relaxing getaway

Property was just as pictured! Our family had a great time relaxing and fishing. Not far from St. Louis so we were able to explore while also having the most relaxing and serene cabin to return to.

Unbelievable retreat

I can't thank the owners enough, to allow others to enjoy thia magnificent property. The cabin has all the amenities you could ask for. The beds were comfortable and we got great sleep. The furniture in the living areas was soft and comfy and great to sink into after a long day. We loved sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and the occasional boat pass by. There are more fish right off shore than you can imagine. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. The best part is the peace and quiet you experience while there. There is not another house in sight and it really allows you to relax. The hosts did a fantastic job of giving us directions and having everything ready for our stay. We highly recommend this wonderful property. Thank you again for sharing this with others.

Tristate Gathering

We were lucky enough to have four generations stay for the weekend; from IL, IN and MI. The pictures didn’t do this cabin justice - it was clean and higher quality than we expected. Watching the river flow and all of the wildlife around was the best part. And the shaded patio made it possible in the summer heat and rainstorms. We fished as well and caught some bass and catfish right off the dock. We had to run the water a bit to flush some of the initial smelly water out, but that didn’t take long. And the bunk bed was a tiny bit wobbly and noisy for sleepers that toss and turn. Overall, great place! We hope to come back for the next family graduation party.

Comfortable rustic cabin by the river

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin, and it met all of our needs as we were staying in the area a few days leading up to our son’s wedding. We used the outdoor grill and the kitchen - we found everything to be in working order, I was even pleasantly surprised to find a ninja blender which came in handy. There was plenty of space allowing the groomsmen to get ready and take some outdoor photos on the porch & back patio by the river. Celia was very quick to respond to messages. Would recommend for anyone who doesn’t mind staying in a location that’s off the beaten path.

Incredible Cabin on the Mississippi River

This is a hidden gem. Well off the beaten path, down a gravel road, beautiful and peaceful. The cabin is eclectic and cozy - with modern amenities (air-conditioning, and wi-fi). It is right on the Mississippi with incredible views. We saw abundant wild-life. It was just me and my Mom, but a family would have a great time! Definitely will visit again!

Quiet, secluded cabin

Cabin location was ideal. Plenty of space for all guests. Cabin needs some deep cleaning and updates (upstairs tub does not work). Overall it was a nice getaway!

Very private great fishing

Very beautiful private property with no neighbors for miles. We enjoyed our stay , the owners were very accommodating and friendly. We caught lots of catfish during our stay it was alot of fun.

Honeymoon Getaway

Beautiful! The cabin was very nice. Right on the river. We enjoyed watching the eagles and the eagle's nest right across the river from the back patio..we'll be visiting again this summer.

Perfect peaceful paradise

Very remote and quiet. Right on the river so its perfect eagle watching. There were so many! We definitely will go back! Hopefully soon!

This trip was wonderful from start to finish. Our group normally stay in a couple hotel rooms but this was a great change of pace that allowed us to get away from the city and enjoy staying and eating in. The house is equipped with anything and everything needed for our stay. The host communication was excellent. The directions and owner expectations were spot on and very helpful. The host was also super easy to work with when we wanted to add an extra night. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Another great weekend

We had our annual girls weekend at this beautiful River cabin. Very comfortable and the location is perfect! We saw deer swimming across the river in the morning and an eagle circling the sky. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets! The owner is very gracious and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back next year!

We enjoyed our stay over the weekend. It was a bit further out off the highway than anticipated but once we arrived, out stay was perfect. It had everything we needed for our stay.

Beautiful peaceful secluded full of wild life

Me my wife and my ten year old son was looking for a peaceful secluded water front location were we could swim and fish without being bothered by noise or neighbors and thats exactly what we got the cabin was off a paved road and the entrance was gated down a smooth gravel road that was about 1 1/2 miles to the cabin and was completely surrounded by woods and farm land with the river in the back yard were we fished and swam saw all kinds of different wildlife and caught fish wish we could of stayed longer the place had everything we needed pots pans cooking utensils dishwasher soap assortment of spices flour games and cable with wifi we had a wonderful time with no complaints the only thing which wasnt even a problem but the loft ac wasnt working to its full potential but we were never uncomfortable and it was nice and cool on hot days we are from Oklahoma and loved this cabin i read some of the current reviews before we had arrived but didnt have anything to complian about unlike others and yes there was no trash service but all we had to do is take it to Wal-Mart and use the cans by the cart corral

We (4 seniors) stayed for a week. Very cute, quaint place.very nicely decorated and had plenty of kitchen utensils. We spent 90% of our time on the lovely patio enjoying the beautiful views. Would recommend .Ms.Celia was very nice.

Great location but needs major attention!

The location was great and secluded. Unfortunately we were greeted by swarms of wasp in the front and back..could not enjoy the patio and or the scenery due to being stung! So if you are allergic this place is not for you. Multiple lighting lamps were not working in the rooms and living room. Beware when you use the shower in the master that will create a leak in the ceiling in the below bedroom next to the bed by the door..it continued to drip to where i had to get a pan out of the kitchen to catch the water. Was not able to use the top bunk due to no ladder or steps to get up in it. Bait stations everywhere inside the living quarters! Those should be outside not inside, so beware you can have dead mice inside the living area. The property was not very clean cobwebs hanging down from the ceilings in loft and master bathroom. Also we had the cutest Ground Hogs that had got underneath the front porch and there was a live trap on the ground to catch them. If there was an animal to be caught I don't know who to reach out to get that poor animal out of the trap and the temps were 90+. Not something you should have to vision or experience when your renters! I get it its a cabin and out in the country. I grew up in the country and don't mind a little dirt, but for the money we spent I feel we paid to much for this rental. Also make sure you have room in your car for all trash you dispose of it! If your not from around here you will be driving with your trash in your car! Eww!

We bought this wonderful log home as our family get-away, close to home, about 15 years ago. We have so many wonderful family memories with our kids growing up, adventures out on the river (swimming, boating, waterskiing), entertaining friends... Our kids are now grown and we were not using our lovely cabin as much, so we decided to share it with other people so that they can create and enjoy fun memories of vacations as well. If you want a peaceful setting, winter or summer, this is it! Nature surrounds the cabin and is fun to watch from the deck. Bald Eagles and Golden eagles abound Dec-Feb! Deer visit year-round. Fishing is fun in the summer too....or just relax and barbeque on the deck with the fabulous view.

We love the cabin because while it is secluded, peaceful, and off the beaten path, it is only 15 minutes to get to grocery stores/shopping/entertainment.
