Deep Water Island Retreat with Breathtaking Views

The Tidewater retreat is the perfect getaway spot for stays 30 days or longer.

Soak in the spectacular marsh views while you relax at this spacious estate on a remote island, part of greater Edisto Island. Only 4 miles from Edisto Beaches. The Tidewater retreat is the perfect space where guests can unwind and relax! Wildlife on the island is abundant, including deer, and the occasional bald eagle, along with many other bird varieties.

This home is located on deep water and is able to accommodate up to 10 guests (NO MORE THAN FOUR ADULTS PER RESERVATION)

The main house consists of four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The main house provides a spacious kitchen, dining room & living room. The deck overlooking the marsh will take your breath away!

Upon entering the front door of the main house, guests will find a full kitchen, living room, and dining room, along with a full bathroom. There are also two bedrooms located on this main level.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including a gas range, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven. The kitchen island can seat six guests, and the adjacent dining room table can seat six to eight guests.

TheTV is able to stream your favorite streaming apps. so be sure to bring along your streaming services passwords to sign in to watch your favorite show! Internet services are also provided; however, due to the remote nature of the island, the internet may go out easily depending on the weather. It usually comes back online on its own after the weather event passes.

Bedroom 1 overlooks the marsh and will sleep two guests in the king-size bed.
Bedroom 2-will sleep two guests in a queen bed.

Upstairs, guests will find 1.5 bathrooms and two additional bedrooms.
Bedroom 3-will sleep two guests in a queen bed.
Bedroom 4 is our bunk room. This bedroom has four twin beds: two twin beds and two twin bunks and it is perfect for the kiddos.

The upstairs covered porch provides the most breathtaking views! Guests can sit under the upstairs covered porch around the propane fire pit or on the outdoor coach or swing. A propane grill completes the space.

On the ground-level covered porch, guests will find a picnic table and ping-pong table.

THINGS TO KNOW:
The property also has a guest cottage that is solely used by the owner from time to time. The owner will give guests staying in the main house space and privacy. The owners reserve the right to access the cottage, dock & pier during your stay - although this would be extremely rare.

Access to the private dock, and pier is available for an additional $25 fee. Guests will be required to sign our Dock Use Agreement before gaining access to the pier.

The basement of our main house, along with several closets, will be locked for the owners' belongings. (Every bedroom, except for bedroom #2 will have an available closet for guests to use).

Guests will use a one-lane causeway to access the house. House is located on a remote island, along with a handful of other residences. Guests should be mindful of seeing the occasional deer crossing. Go slow and take in the beauty of the deer & the water! Our family has a personal rule that all electronics go off once we hit the causeway - a wonderful transition to a relaxing stay to come! Additionally, the property is on well water, so guests will want to have bottled water on hand for arrival at the property. We are just over 4 miles to the closest grocery store (Food Lion located beachside.)

Due to the remote location, every reservation includes a $50 management fee for trash removal. We are happy to refund this fee within 48 hours after checkout if guests choose to take all of their trash and recycling to the Charleston County convenience center located at 2844 SC-174 on Edisto Island. This is just past the intersection of Pine Landing Road on the right when driving off the island.

Guests must check-in between 4 PM and 7 PM on the day of check-in.

Third-Party Bookings: Guests booking on behalf of another guest staying on the property are solely responsible for any damages to the space. All guest names (First and last) must be included on the reservation. The booking party is responsible for sharing all house rules and access information with the staying guest.

Internet services are provided. However, due to the remote nature of the island, the internet may go out easily depending on the weather. It usually comes back online on its own after the weather event passes. If connectivity is important during your stay with us, we recommend you bring a hotspot to use (our family uses Verizon which tends to perform quite well).

We strive to exceed expectations for our guests! In an effort to provide all of the details needed for a seamless stay, we will send you a welcome letter a few days before your arrival. Guests will be required to read through the welcome letter and send us a reply with a special quote that we reference in the letter so that we know that the items have been reviewed. We will not release your access code until your response is received.
