We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the many spaces and rooms for everyone to hang out. The space allowed for everyone to have their own bathroom which was great. The outdoor area and enclosed decks were perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

Amazing location

We had 16 people staying together and this property offered enough space for everyone to have their own place to wind down. This location checked off all of our big ticket items like tubing down the "O" in cherokee and golfing in Franklin. Franklin is sooo cute! I would definitely stay here again.

Family Mountain Getaway

We loved this charming hillside cabin home. Secluded but yet just a short drive to all of the nearby vacation activities. Our host kept in touch to make sure that our stay was perfect.

Awesome cabin in Smoky Mountains!

If you are ever in the Franklin, NC area and are looking for an experience, The Franklin Lookout is the place to stay. The property is secluded with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The amenities list goes on forever, the hosts check in with you daily to ensure that you have everything you need, and the cabin is beautiful! My family and I can't wait to visit again!

We had an awesome time at the cabin in Franklin. The downstairs kitchen could use more dishes and cooking apparatus. The host was fabulous and responded immediately to each message. The area is absolutely beautiful!

Franklin Five Star Cabin

This cabin has it ALL! What a beautiful place to spend time with family and friends to create long lasting memories! The porches give amazing views to show Franklins natural beauty. The inside offers all the amenities and five star place would have and enough rooms for a large party! We will absolutely be back !!!

Excellent property for two families/kids

Beautiful home and owners have thought of everything when it comes to younger kids. Full kitchen on main and lower levels give families the opportunity to have their own space. Wrap around porch is where we spent most of our time. Highly recommend.

Just as it says… and better!

Our family of adults stayed over Christmas and had a wonderful experience. Beds were comfortable, had hot water and alllllllll we could ever want in games, cozy blankets and thoughtful touches all through out the house. Thank you, Brit! We plan on coming back in 2024!

Great Cabin and host!

We had a wonderful time at this cozy cabin. The views were amazing and the scenery was so relaxing. The cabin had all the amenities our family needed: lots of board games and toys for the kids and a full coffee bar for mom and dad. The hot tub was nice on cool evenings. Best of all, the host was super responsive. We brought steaks to grill out but when we got to the house, the grill had been blown over by the wind and was broken. We contacted the host and she had a new grill delivered from Lowe’s the very next day! We were so impressed.

Fantastic place

This is the absolute best VRBO family place we have ever stayed in. It was super clean and the extra touches made us feel so very welcomed. The children’s toys and play areas were amazing. The property mgr responded immediately to any questions that came up. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Bathrooms were well stocked. The views from the porch of the Smokies were incredible. It was more than roomy enough for our group of 8 adults and 4 young children. It is a 5 Star plus place to stay.

Family Vacation

Britt and her husband are amazing hosts, that have clearly put so much thought into every detail of this home and rental process. We had a 1, 2, 3, and 7 year old with us and they loved every minute! So many toys, the “playroom” in the loft, and the wrap around porch with a latched gate were an absolute hit for them. They supplied plenty of baby gates to keep the littles safe from the stairs. They even had pack-n-plays and strollers to use if needed. The entire home was wonderful, very clean and spacious, with so many thoughtful little “extras”, and a GORGEOUS view, but as a mama - the way this home accommodated the little ones made it a 10/10 for me!! Would definitely stay again.

10/10...no notes ;) This property is exactly as advertised. We spent some time away from home as a family arpund the holidays and it was exactly what we needed. From the communication to the amenities to the location, it was all on point. They even had Christmas decorations up to make it feel festive and cozy. We drove about 45 mins to Bryson City for the Polar Express train ride one night and then stopped by Highlands Outpost (20 mins) the next day for snow tubing and s'mores. This is probably the best rental we've ever stayed at, and we'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Family Gathering

Outstanding venue to host our family gathering, we had 8 adults and 4 kids and plenty of room to spare at The Franklin Lookout. We also brought three well behaved dogs for a small extra fee and they were in heaven at this cabin. Britt goes above and beyond on all the accommodations in the house. I travel a fair amount and this is one of the nicest rentals I have stayed at. It has activities for kids, people, dogs and also has enough space for a calm, relaxing experience for anyone that is just wanting to unwind. My family goes to Franklin once a year, definitely check out Caffe Rel if you are in the area for food, odd location but outstanding food. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with our family!

Comfortable Stay and Beautiful Views

Our group of friends had a wonderful stay at this lovely mountain home. The location and surroundings are peaceful with great views of the mountains—perfect for a relaxing getaway.The home itself is thoughtfully furnished with very comfortable beds, good quality bedding and towels, and a well-stocked kitchen that made cooking together easy and enjoyable. We especially loved spending time on the wraparound porch—grilling, dining, listening to the birds and soaking in the scenery (especially at sunset) from the table and chairs provided.Check-in was seamless with a convenient code entry, and the directions from the host made getting there a breeze.There were a few minor cleaning and maintenance issues—likely due to a difficult group before us—and one area had a non-functioning HVAC unit (happens to us all). However, we reached out to the host who responded quickly and made plans for these items to be addressed. These small things didn’t take away from our overall experience.We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return in the future!

Memorable vacation experience

Bring our first log cabin experience our family was prepared for the worst. We were pleasantly surprised to find this vacation stay was once of our most memorable ones we have had to date! Almost every detail was thought of and almost every thing you would find in your own home can be found here. The lookout is breathe taking and one of the most scenic settings to have of a mountain scape. This has a little bit of enjoyment for every age. Spacious enough for two families and convenient enough to call your home. The Host is absolutely amazing. I almost thought I was staying at a luxury resort with his accommodating and eager they were to assist with my request. This is hands down one of my favorite and e table experiences I’ve had with vacation rentals and I would definitely stay here again and every time I am in the area.

Family Time

Look no further! Book now for the perfect family or couple/friends experience! We’ve stayed at many VRBOs and this one is at the top of the list if you have a large group! There were 6 of us and we had room for others if needed. Two full kitchens, large porches and bedrooms, 4.5 baths, 2 washers and dryers, every kitchen item we needed, and I could go on and on. So clean and comfy. We left for a few outings but mostly stayed in and visited, played games and relaxed. Every sunset and sunrise was priceless. Fabulous kitchen appliances and gas grill. Everyone agreed we will return to the Franklin Lookout when we come back to the area. We will miss the fabulous wrap around porch where our dogs enjoyed playing too! Britt is the best host and has done a great job making guests feel like it’s their own home. You won’t find a better place to rent. ❤️

This property has the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience. Nestled on 4 acres, your closest neighbors include deer, turkey, birds, and even beautiful horses at our neighbors' farm just down the hill. At the same time, you are just minutes away from incredible hikes, fishing, rafting, and cute mountain towns.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We've decorated and equipped this cabin with every group in mind. As you enter the main level, you're greeted by a beautiful open living area that showcases the incredible long range views through the windows. Our cabin is kid friendly equipped with an upstairs play loft that includes books, toys, games, tee pee, and even a kid's sized kitchen. We also include an extra pack n play and booster seat!

In the bedrooms, we've tastefully decorated and equipped the beds with high quality linens and pillows. In the bathrooms, you'll enjoy soaking in our large tubs with lavender bath salts and scented candles after a long hike.

In the bottom level, enjoy our game room with foosball, ping pong, and an exit out to our large hot tub overlooking the incredible view.

We take pride in supplying every possible thing you'd need. We include hair dryers, extra linens, dog supplies, baby and kid gear, etc. We want you to feel at home, but away from home!

If you want to decompress, relax, and make special memories with family and friends, then the Franklin Lookout is for you!
