We visited due to Marist parents weekend. Staying in this home felt like home away from home. The house was immaculate and cozy at tne same time. We enjoyed our chats and family meal around the kitchen island and ding room. The chickens and duck were bonus entertainment. Thank you for a great stay.

Great quiet property

We had a wonderful stay with friends and family over 3 days. The property and home are beautiful and well maintained. The kids aged 4-11 always found something fun to do. Scott was prompt in his responses. Would love to stay here again if we are visiting the area.

Perfect house for family

The property was fantastic. Beautiful house, the outdoor space was great for a family with young kids. The house was immaculately clean and the owners were very easy to work with. When we’re in the area again we will certainly look to stay here again.

Beautiful

This a beautiful and well appointed home that is very peaceful and quiet. The chickens and ducks are adorable as well. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again when we visit family. Highly recommend if you are visiting the Hudson Valley.

Beautiful spot

We loved staying at this beautiful house with family. Our kids had a blast in the playroom and loved the chickens! The house was nicely decorated, had great flow and was very clean. Our favorite part was the porch! Absolutely beautiful spot to sit and hang out! It was so relaxing and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Vassar College Graduation Weekend

The house is beautiful, comfortable, peaceful, quiet and clean. We loved the deck and yard, and especially loved watching the ducks and chickens. The host was super easy to communicate with and we appreciated their willingness to accommodate us! A perfect stay!

Great Upstate Getaway

Beautiful, very well-maintained home and property. Communicating with Scott was easy and pleasant! We especially loved the “country feel” and gathering fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the mornings! The loft toy room was a nice bonus for my children. Thanks for a great stay.

Country Charm

This was a beautiful & cozy home and amazing yard! We enjoyed walking the yard, watching the chickens, and seeing all the beautiful flowers & Halloween decorations. The kitchen was well equipped and the grill was conveniently located. We hope to be able to return next fall.

Delightful

The house was pristine and lovely. The ducks walked around gabbing constantly. The lightening bugs were gorgeous from the swings on the back deck. We were in town for a family reunion and this place was breath of fresh air at the end of a chaotic day.

Chill vacay with chickens, frogs, and ducks ❤️

Amazing home!! Absolutely gorgeous. My husband, toddler and I are living in AZ and wanted a calm spot to spend a long weekend with our east coast family. This spot checked everything off our list…and more! Our toddler had a blast in the playroom and watching the chickens. Kitchen was great for cooking meals for a large group. Outdoor patio with swings was so relaxing.

Annual Weekend Retreat

Each year we look for a new destination for an annual retreat, a place that can accommodate five or six of us, has lots of local things to do, and lately a place that has charm and coziness, allowing us to linger over breakfast in the mornings and evenings to relax and catch up on our lives. This lovely rental was the perfect spot. Extremely clean and updated, excellent communication with the Host and plenty of space for us to be together and have our own privacy. We truly appreciated all of the small details that went into our stay. Thank you!!

Perfect Peace among Celebrations!

Scott and Ashley were absolutely kind, enthusiastic and helpful from the very start. We reserved well in advance of our son’s graduation from Marist University! As we drew closer questions inevitably popped up and every question was responded to quickly and courteously. Their place was soo beautiful and serene. Windy roads lead us to a place to rest and reenergize in between graduation celebrations. Despite the chilly weather we had fresh eggs, hot coffee and bakery goodies on the gorgeous deck. We loved the chickens!! The house is so well laid out, clearly labeled so everything is easy to follow. We wish we had found this paradise our son’s freshman year!! Thank you Scott and Ashley!!

Fantastic house, you will love: we all did

The house is beautiful, comfortable, peaceful, quiet and extremley clean. We loved the deck and yard, and especially loved watching the ducks and chickens. Amazing fresh eggs every morning for breakfast. The house everything you could possibly need, just pack your clothes. Scott was super easy to communicate with, the outside deck fan remote battieres were done and Scott jumped right on it and he put new batteries and the fan was fantastic. Hands down, Scott was amazing with our entire stay. We truly had an amazing stay, if this VRBO is available: "Book It", it's in the country, yet so close everything you could possibly need. It was so amazing, we never turned on the TV for 3 days. Thank you so very much Scott.

I have lived in the Hudson Valley for most of my life. I enjoy being in the outdoors as often as possible and there is no shortage of beautiful places to explore. When my wife and I found this home we fell in love with it and saw the potential that it had. We take pride in being hosts and love to share what our home has to offer.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We have worked super hard to remodel and beautify both the house and property that surrounds it. Realizing its potential, we knew that we could make it into a place where it was not only a home, but a place where we could find comfort and relaxation at the end of a long day. The house never feels crowded and the yard offers plenty of room to roam and observe much of what nature has to offer. Our favorite place to sit is on the covered back deck where we can watch a multitude of animals go about their routines. Our gardens constantly have flowers in bloom with butterflies and hummingbirds collecting nectar. The chickens and ducks certainly add to to the country/farm feel that the property provides. We decided to list the property on VRBO after several friends told us that they would love to stay in our home for a short getaway/staycation!
