Beautiful 3 bedroom cabin located at Terry Peak. Just a few minutes drive from Deadwood and Lead, SD. Perfect home away from home to enjoy a beautiful, relaxing getaway in the Black Hills. Ideal for 8-10 guests with three private bedrooms and a loft area that contains an additional bunk bed (double bed - bottom/ single bed - top). For summer and fall months, enjoy the amazing view off the deck as you grill and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. For winter, ski it up and end the day relaxing in the hot tub! Â
Parking is limited at this location so if you're bringing trailers you may need to park in the fee parking lot at Terry Peak.

We really enjoyed our stayâ comfortably slept my extended family of nine. Itâs really a beautiful and clean cabin to come back to after spending all of our days out and about.
The home was clean and offered a lot of nice space to gather and relax. Lots of games for the kids to keep them busy, convenient location, and a hot tub made it easy to unwind. We hope to make it back for another family vacation soon.
We absolutely loved staying here. The hot tub was very clean and perfect for how cold and snowy it was outside. Inside, it was very cute and cozy. My kids loved the little loft with the bunk bed and made themselves at home very quickly. I would definitely bring my family back and recommend this property to others.
Fantastic cabin - we stayed here with another family, totaling 4 small kids. The kids absolutely loved it, very kid friendly. Easy to find and had everything we needed.
The only negative was parking. One full size vehicle is TIGHT. We had two trucks with side by sides in our trailers, so we parked at the ski lodge as instructed (and appreciated). Unfortunately we had to park, unload our side by sides, and haul all our things to the cabin in our UTVs. Minor in the big scheme, but something to plan for.
Les points faibles : Communication, emplacement, exactitude de lâannonce
NOT BIKER FRIENDLY
This cabin is NOT a good rental for the Sturgis Rally. If youâre going skiing Iâm sure this cabin would be fine as long as you have a 4X4 truck. The cabin is nice but has NO A/C so staying during the summer may be miserable. I was told youâd be able to get a truck and small trailer into this place that was a lie, the truck could barely get up to the cabin. I was told there would be propane in the tanks, that was a lie. I was told I would be reimbursed for refilling the propane tank, another lie Iâm still waiting. The directions to this cabin are very bad. If you decide to rent this cabin I would suggest going during the day itâs almost impossible to find at night and the property manager is absolutely no help after hours. I would rent again in this area but just NOT this cabin.
While the place is beautiful and clean, we had some issues. The main challenge being no AC. While I see in retrospect on VRBO that only "Heating" is listed, it wasn't something we would have thought to look for (assumed all modern higher-end houses like this had AC), I wish we would have been forewarned as we would not have chosen this cabin. The weekend we stayed there was 95-97*F and this house faces West with floor-to-ceiling windows and no shade/trees to block the afternoon sun from beating in all day. Coming back from a day of riding, hiking & sweating in the Hills, it was very unpleasant to come back at 4pm to a house that was 82* and didn't cool down until well after dark (9pm). Only some of the windows open or had screens to be able to open without moths/bugs. That made all the little things just that much more annoying when you're hot and crabby (mediocre beds that move with partners' movements, paper thin pillows, no working ice maker, pots & pans to cook in were old highly scratched unsafe Teflon, and when we decided to cook the taco meat in the crockpot while we were out the last day so we didn't have to come back and cook in an 82* kitchen..... the crockpot was missing the liner so we couldn't do that either). The final evening (the 97* day), the house was still 78* when we went to bed so sleeping was rough. The houses are pretty close together in this area so we had the noise of everyone else's groups hanging out on the decks too. And the parking pad/extremely steep driveway was less than desirable - be forewarned that you'll also pay per vehicle/trailer if you do use the ski lodge pay lot which added up for our group with their charges. Overall just a bit frustrating. The place really is beautiful and I imagine would be a nice play to stay in the winter.
Pros: Our family had a wonderful time in the Black Hills. The cabin had enough room for the 8 of us with space for the toddlers to play. The kitchen was fully equipped and the grill was a huge bonus. The hot tub was just the right temp and was nice to have after long days of sightseeing.
Cons: The description states that there is limited parking but do not plan to try to even park one trailer on the steep driveway. We used the fee lot at Terry Peak.
The cabin is on the main road into the neighborhoods and the neighboring cabins had loud parties several of the nights we we were there.
