Great little cabin and perfect for our winter break to enjoy some family time at Terry Peak. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and the views from the large windows.
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was clean, wonderfully decorated and in a beautiful area of the Hills for our quiet weekend trip. We will be keeping this location on the list of favorite places to stay for our quarterly trips to hills.
We enjoyed our visit to the Black Hills and were very pleased with the Golden Nugget Retreat; it was the perfect size for two people. We found the cabin to be exceptionally clean and well-stocked. Terry Peak is quiet and allows for easy access to main highways and tourist destinations. Highly recommend this cabin and would not hesitate to rent it again.
This was just the right space for a quick get-away. The location was close to Terry Peak, where we had a wonderful day of skiing. The home was cozy and comfortable.
We made last minute plans to ski at Terry Peak as a family a few days and the host was very accommodating to book our stay and communicate regarding check-in and hot tub instructions. Our family were all thrilled with the spacious cabin, hot tub experience, foosball table and game choices, and comfortable couches for relaxing after a full day of skiing. The roads near the cabin were well-plowed and the area felt very quiet. Weee were able to make breakfasts and dinners during our stay with lots of cooking supplies well-supplied. We will definitely consider staying here again for a future ski vacation.
We stayed the week after New Years. skiied at Terry Peak, perused Deadwood and snowmobiled. This is a nice home with comfortable beds. Easy to get to and in the middle of all the outdoor fun to be had in the Black Hills.
This is a get property. The home was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. There were board games and a foos ball table in the lower level family room. The bathrooms had limited accessories (towels, soap, etc.).
My family had a unforgettable stay. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice to have so many basic supplies. Very good comminication with property manager due to a issue, the issue was taken care of in a very timely manner. Would be uncomfortable tho for more than one family. Two people may be able to take a shower, but third one would get cold water.
Great experience- the cabin was beautiful, clean, well stocked with the essentials. We wanted a quiet, relaxing weekend away and got just that. We have rented several cabins in the black hills area and this one was our favorite.
We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have some space to spread out. We enjoyed having a fireplace. There were deer outside each morning that we enjoyed watching. Great weekend!
A beautiful location, if you enjoy solitude.
King size bed is too large for the space & the slats squeaked every time you moved.
Kitchen isnât conducive to a lot of cooking, & restaurants are in Deadwood-so about 15 minutes away. Could have used an update in kitchen utensils, more drinking glasses, nicer pans etc. Kind of bare minimum.
Kitchen is suitable for vacation rental, especially if you are out seeing all the sights, however.
I am a clean freak & I didnât find it overly clean.
The property manager was prompt when something came up.
Overall, we would say an average stay.
Everything was great at this cabinâŠwell stocked and clean, decorated in a cute way. Only downside is the master bed is on a bed frame that squeaks anytime you move.
This neighborhood is at the top of a mountain near the ski resortâŠamazing views! But the neighborhood is new and growing it seems and the dirt roads are still very rough.
But overall this was a great place to stay while we spent time in Deadwood and surrounding areas.
