Monarch Cove Cottage

Welcome to your cozy getaway! This charming 3-bedroom cottage features a spacious wraparound deck with comfy seating, perfect for relaxing and enjoying outdoor cooking. Inside, you’ll find a kitchen with stove and casual stool seating for easy meals.

The primary bedroom offers a queen bed, while the second bedroom is a unique pass-through with a queen Murphy bed. The third bedroom is great for families, with a double-over-double bunk and a single trundle. The living room couch can sleep one more guest.

At 750 sq ft, this home is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully laid out. Enjoy a full bathroom, AC in most rooms, WiFi, and a Smart TV. Two compact parking spots are included, plus extra guest parking just three houses down. The lake is only two blocks away!

Lovely cottage for a short stay! Highlight was the outside space including gas fire pit, bbq, and lots of seating. We were lucky with the weather! Every kitchen mod con there, including air fryer, ice maker, perc coffee maker and keurig coffee maker with lots of pods to choose from. Beds were very comfy! Its small, but perfect for a holiday. Would stay again in a heart beat!

Lake Time

Had a great time at the cottage. Super cool neighborhood with dock access and public beaches. Cabin definitely has a lake cabin feel and loved the outdoor deck area. WiFi was good and the place was well stocked.

Comfortable Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Monarch Cove Cottage. It is located in a quiet area close to the lake, playground, and town. The cottage is small, but fit our group of 7 very comfortably. It also has a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We will likely stay again when we visit family at the lake next year.

Great little place!

We love the area of Monarch Cove! A great well shaded neighborhood, which is a wonderful getaway from the sun of lake time fun! This little place is cute, with everything you need for day to day. Great deck space to relax and only a short walk from a beautiful lake view, and a wonderful park! The owners were easy to communicate with and helpful with any information we needed.

Great place in quiet Neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay here in Okoboji, it’s about 10 mins from the downtown action which was nice for us. Spirit lake beach is close by. The cottage is well maintained and stocked with supplies, they have thought of everything you would need. It’s a cozy place and it worked for our family of 6. There is nice living room area where we played games and watched movies. We would stay here again.

Quaint lake cottage

We had a very nice stay and will be back when the lake isnt flooded 😥 Decorated just as cute as could be. Stocked with lots of little extras if we happen to forget anything like toothpaste, sunscreen and even batteries! The host responded to all questions in minutes. Would definitely recommend !

It was our first time with VRBO. Wasn't sure what to expect however it worked out well for my wife and I and our dog. It was comfortable and the owner cares about the property as you had wifi, easy way to access, clean, had some small things available to use, towels, etc. It was nice to hang out and have a good time while being close the lake.

Nice cottage. Very clean. The owners had the cottage well stocked with everything that we could possibly need. Nice large outdoor space. The only negative is the lake was basically shutdown the week we were there because of high water, but we still had a good time.

Family vacation - great spot

The property was small but just right! They had everything needed to have a practical place to land with a family! The community is adorable, there is a great park just a short walk from the home (my newly 4 year old walked back and forth with no complaints!) the neighbors were friendly and welcoming. We loved having a great place to wind down and relax outside at the end of each day with the kids. Definitely saving this listing for next year!

Absolutely Perfect!

My husband and were looking forward to a long weekend, just to relax. We requested an additional day, and the owner was prompt and professional in his responses, and was able to accommodate us. The cozy cottage was the perfect size for our stay. They had plenty of "extras" around the cottage, as well; toiletries, kitchen utensils and dishes, lots of pillows! The outdoor area was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. It is a short drive to everything Okoboji has to offer. Check-in and check-out were easy. All in all, it was exactly what we were looking for.

Cozy and well equipped

What this cottage may be lacking in size, it more than makes up for in a fabulous outdoor entertainment space with plenty of seating, lighting, grill, stainless steel cooler and shade for a large family gathering. This place was also well appointed beyond anything I would ever expect. From q-tips, cotton balls, shower soap, shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom to every utensil, pot, pan, bowl, glassware and serving dish you would need. I was also pleasantly surprised by the available bug spray, sunscreen, ziploc bags, toaster, toaster oven, Keurig, coffee pods, cups and yard games. The cabin is well decorated and the beds are all comfy, making it truly feel like a home.

Perfect lake life with pupper!

Family of 4 (parents in 50's, college age kid and highschooler, plus a 9 months old Golden Retriever) This cabin has to be one of the best appointed short term rental we've done. Everything needed for a week at the lake, and then some! Kitchen with all the appliances and cooking stuff one need. Really nice shower. The living room had a smart TV with apps we could use our login to watch the Olympics. In the master bedroom, we found floating vest for the pup, and even a full size crate tucked away under the bed (it came in clutch - we took the dog everywhere as Okoboji is super dog friendly, but we couldn't take her with us on the Queens II cruise). The outdoor space is magic! Really cozy and comfortable, with Bistro lights et al. Neighborhood is calm and quiet, and we took many walks through it. There's lake swimming access within 5 min. Overall, we had an amazing week and really recommend this rental. Hosts were on top of communications too.
