Nestled on a bluff with oaks and pines, this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home has panoramic views that overlook the soft, sandy beach of the big and beautiful Neuse River, the Americas widest river at 4+ miles across. The private beach and large, very equipped dock is perfect place for a relaxed family and/or fishing vacation, not to mention great for sailing, motor boating, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching, sun bathing, swimming or simply relaxing!

We're located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood that's great for quality family time and small children, taking walks, jogs or riding bikes. This is the ideal getaway for anyone who wants to enjoy peaceful, quiet click off time, away from the busy strife of everyday life. If you're a family with young children, the shallow waters of the Neuse offer a great place for them to wade without the worry of large waves and strong currents that oceans have.
Blue Heron Beach House is conveniently located a short drive from historic downtown New Bern where you will find art, entertainment, and fine dining. While in New Bern, stroll downtown for unique shops and enjoy a short walk to historic Tryon Palace and the North Carolina History Center.

We are conveniently located in the heart of "summer camp country", between the very popular camps, Camp Seafarer and Camp Seagull. We are mere blocks from Camp Seagull, the ideal location to stay when dropping off and picking up your children.

We strongly believe in families coming together to reconnect, relax and enjoy their time together. While there is a max occupancy limit of 10 people, please contact me if you require additional child guests (under the age of 12). Each request is handled on a case-by-case basis.

Our riverfront neighborhood is a short drive to the sailing capitol of North Carolina, Oriental, a quaint sailing village with shops and restaurants, where you can buy shrimp right off the boat (when in season).

Blue Heron Beach House is also an ideal place to stay if you'd like to take day trips to visit many of NC's beautiful coastal communities, including North Carolina's gorgeous Crystal Coast beaches! The Minnesott Beach Ferry, a few short blocks away and offers free service and a beautiful ride across the Neuse. From here, a short drive through the countryside will take you into historic Beaufort, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach NC Aquarium and the beautiful beaches North Carolina is known for.

Enjoy your morning coffee and beautiful sunsets while listening to the waves lap upon the beach from the very large outdoor deck that overlooks the bluff or from the comfort of your own bed. The deck is also a great place to play corn hole (provided on site)

If you're a golfer, play 18 holes at the recently renovated Minnesott Beach Golf and Country Club that is just 2 blocks down the street. It offers a great new restaurant with professional chef. Under new ownership.

The newly remodeled, large square footage and open floor plan is designed with all the modern amenities to make for stay comfortable and relaxing. The entire back of the house has very large windows that offer stunning water views. This home comfortably sleeps 10, has and is fully furnished to include a fully stocked, newly remodeled kitchen, new washer/dryer set and bed linens and towels (inc. beach towels).

The 300 ft. dock is fully equipped with built in fishing rod holders, a fish cleaning station, crabbing traps and other amenities.
