No thanks Vacasa
The room was clean and the overall location is good. We have stayed in this building before. Our previous rentals were directly through owners who were much more responsive than Vacasa.
The pools and restaurant in this building sustained damages from the hurricanes in fall of 2022. We knew this from our previous stay in Feb of 23. Because this is Daytona 500 weekend, I booked this rental just 2 weeks after we left last year. Obviously things were still closed when I booked. As we got closer to this year's stay, Vacasa did not reach out to let us know things were still closed. I only knew because I asked.
The other problem we had during this stay was parking. The parking garage also sustained hurricane damage and is still closed. There is a lot adjacent to the property that is permit parking only. I fortunately, no one enforced these permits. Both Saturday and Sunday nights the lot was at capacity with many people left to find somewhere else to park. There were numerous cars NOT displaying parking permits. Neither the person at the desk (I assume an employee of the property management) nor the security guard were able to remedy this situation. They said we'd have to call the towing company.
Vacasa...is a 10 digit lock code really necessary? Double check your wifi and password for this property because you gave us the wrong one. The "universal" remote in this unit did not work correctly.
