Upscale beach cottage near beach

Our Salty Casita is only a 3-minute walk to the ocean at Kure Beach, and a short stroll to the fishing pier at Ocean Front Park and Pavillion along with restaurants and bars. This newly renovated beach home is equipped with new furnishings and located in a quiet Kure Beach neighborhood, but not too far from grabbing a bite out or an ice cream from one of several businesses nearby. Neighboring Carolina Beach, its boardwalk, restaurants and shopping is just minutes away. Check out Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium and the ferry to Southport only minutes away. The home's two bedrooms can accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Both bedrooms have comfy mattresses, wall mounted TVs and the comforts of home with extra pillows and throw blankets. The kitchen is well stocked and includes a coffee nook with supplies, table for 4 and cookware for your dining preferences. Our living room has a couch and rattan rocker you won’t want to leave and a 55 inch TV to stream movies and TV shows along with a variety of games, books and activities for little ones. Come home from a day at the beach and enjoy the outdoor shower with hot and cold water, shampoo and body wash to rinse off your sandy toes and then relax on our backyard deck with patio lights and a gas grill to cook your favorite meal.

While you’re here, also check out Joe Eakes Park for bocce, disc golf, tennis or pickle ball. Explore the natural wonder at the Coquina Outcrop during low tide (we have a tide clock in our kitchen) near the Ft Fisher Recreation Park. Try and find the Venus Flytraps along the Venus Flytrap Trail at the Carolina Beach State Park along with several other hiking trails that wind along the Cape Fear River.

Let Kure Beach be your next favorite vacation spot whether you are traveling alone, as a couple or small family or with friends. The Salty Casita is a great cottage to stay at - it's clean, stocked with the things you need, has a very short walk to the beach and it has a nice back yard to enjoy your evenings. It's in a great location - quiet area, polite resident neighbors, close to the Kure Beach pier and resturaunts, Linda and John (owners) are always ready to help with any property needs you have. My wife and I have stayed here two years in a row and we hope to stay again next year.

A wonderful experience! Such a cozy space with lots of little, thoughtful touches like the stocked outdoor shower, the wood and fire starters to sit around the fire, and the yeti coffee cups to take for morning beach walks. It was very clean and the host communication was awesome,

What a perfect little beach home! This property is spotless, well stocked, comfortable and on a quaint street; quiet enough away from the crowds, but still close enough for a quick walk to the beach or even restaurants or the Pier. The little details and finishing touches the owners have put into this home make it even more special, you can feel the love they have for the home and being hosts. We are thankful we were able to book this VRBO, no need to look further. This place is perfect for a Kure Beach stay.

The Salty Casita was everything we had envisioned. The property was clean, well styled and close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials for cooking and entertaining. Some highlights were the fire pit, outdoor shower, back porch and beach supplies. Just a few minutes drive to Carolina beach for entertainment. The pier was within walking distance. We had a great weekend! The house was very clean, easy walking distance to the beach, in a cute neighborhood and the hosts thought of many little details that made it an easy and comfortable stay. We usually travel with our dogs but if we go again without them, we will definitely consider this home!

Second stay equally enjoyable as last

We stayed here last February and decided to return this year. Hosts reached out to check on us several times during our stay. Very clean and organized rental. Location close to beach and in walkable neighborhood.

Perfect mother daughter stay

We absolutely loved the Salty Casita. It was spotlessly clean and everything you need is provided. It’s a very short 3 min walk to the beach which was perfect. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay again.

Winter getaway from the north

Pleasant vicinity with easy access to beach. Enjoyable location for walks and shell hunting. Lights on when we arrived after dark made for a welcome arrival.
