Neighborhood was quiet felt totally safe - plenty of room for quiet time. The babbling brook was perfect for a morning coffee retreat. Will stay again if ever in the area
This property is lovely!! Extremely clean & well kept. We particularly loved the deck- having coffee in the morning & hearing the stream was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and/or stay again :)
Could not have asked for more! Property was immaculate, the entire process was easy. Hosts are friendly and very easy to communicate with. Outdoor spaces are very peaceful and relaxing. We would highly recommend this property!
It was a great home and the property was beautiful. Very quiet and rural. Very comfortable. Lots of outside space. They provided everything. The host was very nice.
We had a wonderful week at Ed's and Millie's 2 bedroom, 2 (full) bath home away from home. There's plenty of room to relax, work remotely, even host a larger family meal. And they leave the closet well-stocked, including with K-cups and tea, and invite their guests to help themselves. I woke up early one morning to watch from one of the windows, as the sun rose alongside a nearby mountain. Beautiful and so peaceful.
In town for our granddaughters baptism and all the hotels were booked . Found this gem and couldnât be happier with the decision . The place was conveniently located . Very clean and comfortable beds .
The owners were kind enough to leave bagels , coffee and a stocked pantry . We will be back
Excellent rental. My only difficulty was arriving at midnight. No lights to find the narrow dirt road to the house. It was pitch black. I parked the car on the street and walked around until I was sure of where the road was to the house and where the lockbox was with the key. Once inside it was lovely, clean, welcoming and a perfect location.
Ed is a fantastic host and provides a warm, welcoming and delightful home. There was more than enough space for our family (a couple, a teen and a tween). Our only disappointment is that we visited when it was below-freezing so we didnât take advantage of the sizable deck, gazebo, and woodland trails behind the property. The home was super comfortable with very modern and upgraded bathrooms.Itâs less than :10 to get into downtown Simsbury.
This was perfect for our needs - we had relatives near by and needed a quiet place to stay. The house was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well-supplied, and the views were beautiful. I went for long walks along the trails right behind the house. Ed was very responsive to any questions. We definitely hope to stay there again.
This is a great property situated in a wooded area, but close to shops and restaurants.
Rental process was smooth and simple with great communication from the owner. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us and, with two of us working remotely, found there to be sufficient space for us both. We look forward to a return trip when back in town.
Huge thank you to Ed and Milly for a wonderful stay! The house was clean and comfortable, and the area is absolutely stunning. Hiking trails right behind the house are awesome, Ed even helped me when my dog got separated from me on a walk. Can't say enough good things. Looking forward to coming back again!
Me and my wife are retired except for our vacation rental. We try to provide comfortable and clean lodgings for travelers and vacationers. My wife also speaks Albanian and Serbo Croatian in addition to English.
Our property is uniquely nestled at the base of Onion Mountain, and is in a great community. You can experience nature and yet still be a 15 minute drive to shopping or a good variety of restaurants.
We are located near many State parks including the Talcott tower hiking trail, Ski Sundown for wintertime fun and Flamig Farm which has many family friendly events and a petting zoo. You can also access the Onion Mountain Hiking trails from the backyard.
