Huckleberry Hytte-Family fun retreat by lake & park

Huckleberry Hytte is perfect for families. A four bedroom, three bathroom home that sleeps nine guests. Kids will love the vintage pinball machine, “illegal” slot machine and foosball table in the loft. Adults will love how convenient the house is to everything there is to do in McCall and the surrounding area.

Just a five minute walk to Davis beach, a public beach on Payette Lake with a sandy shore and dock. The dock at Davis Beach is privately maintained & owned, but open to courteous public pedestrian use. The main entrance to Ponderosa State Park is a one minute drive away, and there is a convenient shortcut into the park from Carico Rd. close to Miles Standish Rd. for easy access to cross-country skiing, hiking, and biking trails without having to drive. The house is a 20 minute walk to downtown shopping, restaurants and Legacy Park. It is also a 10 minute walk to Golden Glove softball fields and kiddie playground. It is a 20 minute drive to Brundage Mountain Resort, and a 35 minute drive to Tamarack Resort. You will have access to it all when renting Huckleberry Hytte!

The 7th hole of the McCall golf course is directly across Lick Creek Rd. from the house, and it's possible to cut through the housing to access the green for evening walks and cross-country skiing. The clubhouse is a short drive away. Not to mention the McCall transit bus stop is less than a one minute walk away - located on the corner of Carico and Lick Creek Road!

A message from the owners: Our much-loved family cottage is now available for rent. Huckleberry Hytte is perfect for guests who want to enjoy the amenities of McCall without having to drive or fight for parking. Pack a picnic and walk to Davis beach for a fun summer day. Ride bikes or cross-country ski from the front door into Ponderosa Park. Walk to downtown at dusk to watch the sunset over the lake and enjoy dinner near Legacy Park before walking home under the stars. Set out for a day of fishing and return to fry up your catch in the fully stocked kitchen. On chilly nights, gather around the pellet stove and watch movies or play the foosball or pinball games in the loft. At Huckleberry Hytte, you are a convenient distance from everything you'd want to do in McCall, from skiing at Brundage or Tamarack to golfing, fishing, shopping, and Payette Lake swimming and water sports. We know you will love our home as much as we do.
We love skiing at Brundage— the best snow conditions ever! We also love renting a boat or stand-up paddle board and paddling the Meander— where the river meets the lake. Our favorite restaurant is Steamers.

This home has exterior cameras that record motion and sound. Camera facing driveway and camera in garage facing owner's bay of garage.

NO SMOKING - NO PETS

Street parking is prohibited – guests must park in driveway.

Garage parking is one bay only and is not accessible in the winter months.

This home has a two night minimum stay, but some date ranges require a 3 or 4 night stay.

Make yourself at home, but please be respectful of locked cupboards and doors that indicate a private space.

All of our properties have self-check in via keyless entry or lockbox. Guest access codes and check in information will be sent to guests one week prior to arrival.

Parties and events are NOT allowed at this property.

Check in is anytime after 4PM. Check out is at 10AM.

The guest renting this home must be an adult 25 years or older and will be an occupant of the unit during the entire reservation period.

This property is subject to all City of McCall ordinances, including those specific to noise levels, occupancy, and safety.

All reservations must submit identification and sign the DoneRight Management rental agreement w/in 72 hours of booking.

Your worry-free, DoneRight Management vacation rental is equipped with linens, towels, toiletry items, and kitchen essentials. To start your vacation off right, we've provided a day's worth of supplies, including your morning coffee, paper towels, bathroom tissue, and garbage bags. Also provided where required is propane for gas grills and enough wood for indoor fireplace use during your stay. For properties with a fire pit, guests will need to purchase wood, available at several local stores.

Each rental property also includes a guest book with information and tips unique to the home, along with recommendations, local activities and events, local emergency contact information, including how to contact us – we're always just a phone call away.

Our office is located on the corner of North 3rd Street and McGinnis Street in McCall (directly across the street from The Mill restaurant) - stop by and say hello! Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 4:30pm.
