The Lazy Loon is a clean, luxurious home located in the most desirable area of Surfside Beach. Near pier, restaurants, and attractions. Ocean and beach views from 3 covered porches Private salt pool and tons of square footage! 7BR, 5,5 BA and 2 seperate living areas! Can sleep up to 19 total people max (up to 14 adults max and 6 kids max) , House rental includes elevator, linens, house towels, and linens,. Home is loaded with many upgrades- granite, tile, vinyl plank flooring, stainless appliances, upper end furnishings to name a few and renovated in 2022! Added EV charging receptacle Nema 145-50R for electric car use during your stay 2024 !

This is the northern side of our newly renovated duplex and is called The Lazy Loon. The southern side is named The Happy Heron. Both sides have the same amenites including individual pools, elevators,, table tennis, etc.

We are happy to offer our latest home for your vacation! Please look at our other listings to see all our past reviews on our other homes, and we know you will experience just as wonderful of a time at this freshly re-done home with a nice clean, relaxing feel. Our other home on VRBO are number 335239, 412912, and 866526. We also have reviews shown on our website as well.3250 square feet, sleeps 19 with 7 bedrooms and 5 baths and 1 half baths, Has private pool (18' x 14' & 3' to 5' Deep) , elevator, and many more additional amenities. :)

This homes calendar runs a weekly 7 day rental of Saturday to Saturday during peak summer season. (ie June- August)

Arrival time is 4:00 PM and checkout time is 10:00 AM.

When make booking request to us, we will email for some addiitional guest information of which we require repies to us at time of request, Reservations are created when payment is made on owner approved booking requests. We sometimes get multiple inquiries for same date ranges that we quote multiple people on the same day. A quote does not equal a reservation or dates held until paid and approved.

In order to book our home you must read over the required Rental Agreement we will provide after acceptance, complete all required information, and return with drivers license verifying your agreement to the stated terms that they are acceptable and will be followed. Please notify us if have any questions on this.

We generally only allow family rentals with responsible adult over 30 years of age. We do not rent to groups under 30 years of age. Any non family groups, and/ or people bringing motorcycles or trailers please contact us prior to requesting to book to get approval to reserve.

Before booking or requesting to book home we request that you read over required Rental Agreement (displayed before asking for payment information during reservation request) to verify our terms are acceptable and if you have any questions.

We had 8 gentlemen who came to Myrtle Beach for 5 days to golf and the Lazy Loon was exceptional. Everything you could ask for in lodging and the proximity to the beach was amazing. We will probably return next year for our annual golf trip

Great vacation

Our family of 13 had a wonderful stay. The house was close the public beach access where there was a mat for those with mobility issues to use to get to the beach. The pool was great too!

Surfside Beach Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Loon! The beach was so close and the pool was so refreshing - especially since it was 92* much of our vacation. We enjoyed walking and shelling at the beach. The pier was walking distance and Drippy’s ice cream hit the spot at the end of the day.

Roomy house in a great location.

When we booked Lazy Loon, we were hoping to find an oceanfront property that would meet our needs, but none were available. While this home is not on the beach, it is the next best thing! It has a great view of the beach and the water, easy access to the public access, and is a short walk to the pier and al the restaurants in the center of Surfside. We were able to easily fit all our vehicles and 14 people in the house comfortably without it ever feeling crowded. We had a few questions arise early in our stay, and Kathy and Steve responded right away. There was even an issue with one of the clothes dryers, and he had it replaced in less than 12 hours. House was clean and had all the items needed for our stay. Huge table that fit us all for meals, and a great bedroom layout, especially the bunk bed room on the top floor - the kids felt like they had their own private space to hang out. It was really great!

Awesome time at the Lazy Loon!

Our entire family enjoyed our second visit to the Lazy Loon! The owners are very attentive, welcoming, and great hosts! The house was everything we needed to have time together - gathering spaces, balconies, and the pool. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach, restaurants, pier activities, markets and all the area had to offer. Many cherished memories were made!

Great Place for a Family Vacation!

Our family of 17 really enjoyed our vacation at the Lazy Loon in Surfside Beach. The kitchen had a lot of items that made our stay comfortable, and the numerous bedrooms and bathrooms were appreciated. Nice ocean view from the main floor deck, and we made good use of the elevator. The extra beach chairs were a nice touch. Plenty of room for all of us!

Family vacation

We loved this property for our family of 12. The location is perfect and the house was great. Fourth of July week was fun with a community golf cart parade, a beach flyover and beach fireworks that we watched from the balcony. It was a perfect summer vacation. Since one in our group had difficulty with the stairs, the elevator was a big help. Loved the small walkable town of Surfside Beach.

Wonderful stay!

The home was lovely and well appointed. The sunrise views from the porches in the morning were spectacular. We traveled with our 90 year old mom, so the elevator and golf cart were much appreciated amenities. If you are going to stay in Surfside Beach, you can't go wrong at the Lazy Loon! Renee Dallas

We had a great week in the lazy loon. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Elevator was a huge help in loading groceries and luggage. Would definitely stay again. Kathy and Steve were very responsive to all my messages.

Beautiful house, perfect location, well, equipped, excellent hosts, I could go on and on. Hey, my family, all 15 of us, ages 1 to 67 thoroughly enjoyed this house in every way. It was everything and more that I had hoped it would be. I highly recommend the Lazy Loon.

Can’t beat this location!

This house is very nice and so close to the beach! The top floor layout was perfect for our 16 yr. old son and his 4 friends. The rest of the bedrooms were great for 3 adult couples to have comfortable, private spaces. We had more than enough room for all of us to congregate and to have our meals in the large common area of the kitchen, dining and living room. It was such a fun time!

Lovely stay

My family and I recently stayed at the lazy look and it exceeded all of our expectations. The location was absolutely perfect - just a short walk to the beach, fantastic restaurants, and the pier. We loved being able to easily walk to all of these attractions without having to worry about driving or parking. The beach house itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for our large family. The living room and kitchen were open and airy, and the bedrooms were cozy and well-appointed. We especially loved spending time on the deck, enjoying the ocean views and fresh sea air. The house was also well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation, from beach chairs and towels to a fully stocked kitchen. We appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtfulness of the owners in providing these amenities. Overall, our stay at this beach house was fantastic and we will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay near the beach.

This place is paradise.

First of all, this place is much closer to the beach than it looks on Google Maps. You really don’t even need a golf cart to get to the beach. You can just walk right to it. The house was clean and the owners are more than helpful on any issues that we had. The parking on the beach side of the house was confusing. It is marked as guest parking only but I almost got a ticket. The first night we were there being told by Surfside that it was paid to park public parking only. Overall, our family really enjoyed our stay in the house was clean. The beach was nice. The weather was beautiful and we will definitely be looking to book here again.

Fabulous!

Everything was fabulous and everyone in our group was thrilled with the Lazy Loon! You won't be disappointed. A fully stocked kitchen, two refrigerators, and a view of the ocean! What more could you ask for? The owners are wonderful and quick to respond. We'll definitely be back!!

Great place to relax away the day

Wonderfully appointed property with open ocean views and direct beach access. The kids loved the pool, too! Kathy & Steve were very attentive and responded very quickly when we had even the simplest questions. Definitely recommended for a large family or several.

Laughter and Loving Memories at The Lazy Loon

Quite an adventure as The Lazy Loon's charming home pulls you to rest in its tastefully decorated rooms but the view and wind of the Atlantic Ocean sweeps you to visit it's beach. Such great memories and rest were both received as we claimed this beach home "Ours" for a week. Very clean and comfortable to include beds. Bedrooms were very spacious too. The home owners, Steve and Kathy did a check in to make sure all was as we expected but actually it was more. The different coordination of the room colors with its decor made you want to visit every room. The extra large dining table makes for a very special nightly dinner as all get to enjoy!! Having 2 fridges made it great--we used 1 for drinks only. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Thanks for our week to reflect on during the year.

We love Surfside beach and have several home here.
This is one of our nicest homes and is close to pier and next to the beach. Hopefully we will be able to retire to this area and home soon :)
