Management is difficult.
I have left very few reviews for a VRBO, but this one felt challenging. The house is very clean and as pictured. But management will wear you out!
First off, the amount of personal info you have to send to stay there is a lot! Then, we had to arrive a day late due to a funeral (which is obviously unexpected.) We asked about a discount on that evening to which they couldn't do. I understood that even though it was disappointing.
We get there and notice the house is nice, but there is not a blade of grass in the backyard so it's quite muddy, there's no water in the hot tub, there's a barking dog next door, the house temperature is set on 54 so it was extremely cold, there was some mold issues in the upstairs hall bathtub. Again, all things we could overlook.
But my husband broke the Mr. Coffee carafe the first morning. I emailed management to apologize and let them know I would replace the machine or the carafe, whichever I could find. They then asked me to tell exactly what happened. There was no story except he sat it down too hard so they proceeded to ask for a picture of the broken carafe. I had to dig all the glass out of the trash can. Then they asked me to send an image of the new carafe. It was just a lot for a $25 coffee maker. I expressed my frustration to management in hopes we could come to a peaceful place instead of having to write a review, but it wasn't really acknowledged at all. They have the same pat answer for every email. Just FYI.
