Hammarstrom House - Private Waterfront and Hot Tub

We are excited to offer Hammarstrom House, the perfect getaway for family and friends alike. This beautiful property on the shores of Green Bay offers the most amazing sunsets. Built by a Master Craftsman this unique home comes complete with a grand A-frame, impressive tower, family loft and tons of charm and amenities. Truly a treasure.

A winding driveaway, private estuaries and wooded lots provide a ton of privacy. This unique house has four bedrooms, extra sleeping space in the loft and three bathrooms.

The space

Hammarstrom House is a truly unique home with a custom built wooden tower and a large A-Frame cabin on the serene shores of Green Bay in Door County, WI. This one-of-a-kind home has a large open concept perfect for family gatherings, while still having many nooks and crannies to escape for privacy and alone time.

There are sleeping accommodations for up to 8 people with 8 beds, including two roll-aways. The house has three comfortable full bathrooms, one with a wooden shower and water views. Other amenities include a wood burning fireplace, reading nook, coffee and tea station, and so much more.

The highlight of Hammarstrom House is a three story all wood custom-built tower on the water. The first floor offers a hanging bench to enjoy water views, a reading area, an arcade table, and a yoga kit. The second floor is accessible by a spiral wooden staircase where you can enjoy unparalleled views of the bay, vintage scuba diving gear, a stained glass compass window, and a panoramic vista. The crows nest is accessible by a retractable ladder and offers 270 degrees of water views.

Located a short distance from Sturgeon Bay, Hammarstrom House is at the end of a winding private driveway between two estuaries, providing much privacy. The A-Frame and Loft boast cathedral ceilings and additional space for lounging. The spacious loft is stacked with games, a huge TV, and a comfortable couch for a cozy night in.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There are 4 bedrooms plus a loft with a total of 8 beds (which includes one trundle, a sleeper couch and two roll-away beds).

Bedroom 1, the master bedroom on the main level, includes a king-size bed, custom built desk with water views, and a walk-in closet.

Bedroom 2, in the tower wing of the house, has a queen size bed, upholstered chair and original art work. This bedroom has a light airy nautical feel and is a guest favorite.

Bedroom 3, in the tower wing, has a bunk bed with a full size lower, twin upper, a pull out twin trundle, and a modern night stand. Framed state park posters, wool camp blankets and a leather bench give this room a north woods camping feel.

Bedroom 4, located in the tower wing, is a larger space made up of two areas. It has a child size daybed, a play tent, and a queen size bed with a skylight and vaulted ceilings. This is a kid favorite room with plenty of space for playing.

Our large loft space has the convenience of a bathroom with a shower. There is a pull out coach and two roll-away beds, for additional sleeping flexibility. We provide eye covers as an amenity to help with morning light.

Outdoor Decks: There is a large deck on the water front off from the A-frame with a propane grill, an eight person outdoor dining set and stairs leading to the fire pit. The tower a wrap-around deck on the first level with beautiful views of Green Bay and the surrounding area.

Toys & Games Shed: Hammarstrom House offers several outdoor activities for you and your group to enjoy. We provide two kayaks, two paddle boards, a corn hole/bags set, ladder golf and more. Please use water toys at your own risk. Adult sized life vests are available in the Toys & Games Shed.

Area Activities: In the summer and fall months, Door County is a boating paradise as well as many other outdoor adventures. Enjoy the many state parks (7 minute drive from Potawatomi), tons of wineries, several golf courses (5 minute drive to Idlewild Golf Club) and much more. In the winter months, enjoy incredible ice fishing steps from the shore line. There are also miles of snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snow shoeing trails within a short drive of the property.

Laundry: Our guests are welcome to use our laundry room and laundry amenities! No need to overpack!

INTERNET: We provide high-speed internet with Door County Broadband for your stay. Internet in Door County is notoriously spotty, but unless there is bad weather or heavy usage with other guests, the internet is strong enough to stream a movie or conduct a zoom call.

Bonfire and Fireplace: We provide enough firewood for one night. Please note: Only burn purchased firewood specifically designated for indoor fires. This prevents the build-up of residue and resin from creating dangerous and potentially lethal conditions. Any indoor fire must be maintained at all times and kept to a reasonable and safe size.

A note on cleaning: The cleaning fee is to prepare the home for your arrival. Including laundering of all beds, sanitation and disinfection of linens, towels, and public spaces including bathrooms and the kitchen. The cleaning fee covers the proper sanitation standards for COVID-19 including disinfecting of high touch areas, kitchen sanitation, ect. The cleaning fee also includes the organization of rooms and storage areas, inventory check, window cleanings, plus buying and stocking essential items for your stay. The cleaning fee is not intended to cover the cost of "cleaning up" after your stay. We ask our guests to clean the items that they used and dirtied during their stay (ex: dirty dishes, removal of trash, grill, ect). The cleaning fee does not cover damage and abuse of items by guests including stains, rips and other broken items. Cleaning up after your pet (inside or outside) is also not included in the cleaning fee and subject to larger clean-up charges.

Pet Policy: Well behaved dogs and cats can be allowed with prior approval with a $50 per pet surcharge. Absolutely no other pets are allowed at this time. $500 charge extra if you bring an unauthorized pet.
If you are bringing a pet:

1. Please do not allow them on the furniture
2. Accidents happen, but please disinfect immediately and clean completely.
3. Clean up after your dog outside and toss in the garbage.
4. We ask that if your dog does bark a lot to not bring them. We want to be respectful to our neighbors trying to enjoy their cottages.
5. If your pet does damage something, please let us know.
6. If your pet has a history of peeing inside, please do not bring them.
7. If your dog has a history of biting, they are not allowed on the property whatsoever, and we do not take any liability for issues.
8. Please either tie dogs up or crate them if you leave for the day so they don’t have accidents inside.

We will have dog bowls and one dog bed for your convenience

Other items of note:
-PLEASE be respectful of the neighbors for noise and outdoor lights on at night. Noise ordinance between 10pm and 8am.
-No illegal activity, including no drugs and no underage drinking.
-Try and leave the inside lights OFF at night when sleeping.
-Absolutely no smoking inside the cabin.
- No glitter or confetti inside the property and please try and keep sand/water out.
- Please try and keep the noise down late at night and be respectful of neighbors. It is a secluded area, have fun for sure, just be smart with the noise please.
- Be careful around the water. There is high and low tide that changes the depth.

- We attempt to ensure every effort is made to assure the accuracy of this ad, however, errors may occur. We will do our best to keep all information current and accurate. Sometimes things outside the homeowners control may happen, and if they do the homeowner will attempt to resolve them, but is not liable.
