Beautiful home with a perfect location, only a few miles away from everything local. We took a week, two family vacation, and there was so much to do at the house with the game rooms, Jacuzzi, etc… there was no need to leave. The residence had a beautiful view all the way around the house and beautiful walking trails.

THAT view!!

Second time staying at this beautiful property and will return. House is lovely….plenty of space for all, comfortable beds and furniture, great amenities, but the large wall of windows showcasing a spectacular view of the mountains is the best! Also, one of the cleanest VRBOs I’ve rented. Thank you!

Amazing long weekend getaway

Our family of 5 spent a wonderful Memorial Day weekend here. The home is beautiful - very clean, beds comfortable, well appointed kitchen, plenty of space. The kids loved the pool table, books and board games. The hot tub was enjoyed by all. Back decks with a beautiful view. WiFi worked flawlessly. We’d love to come back and stay longer next time!

We had the time of our lives!

One of the best vacations we have ever had! The house is absolutely amazing with an incredible attention to detail. Views both in back and in front of the house. I really could go on and on about everything in this house — but I’ll sum it to say that if you’re considering staying here; do it! You will not be sorry! Thank you and we hope to be back again!

Family and friends getaway with kids

Beautiful house with an amazing view of the mountains. Quick 5 minute drive down to the lake. The kids absolutely loved it and wanted to move in. We saw a bear from the top deck the first morning which was really cool. Only issue we had was the dryer wasn’t heating which was a bit of a problem since we were all given only one set of towels.

The view!!

First, the home was great! Beautiful, well stocked kitchen (loved the granite countertops), tastefully decorated, comfortable furniture and bedding, lots of room to spread out/have privacy if desired, and wonderful amenities (hot tub, fire pit table, and pool table). But!! the location, decks, and huge wall of windows that allowed us to enjoy THE MOST SPECTACULAR VIEWS was the best!! Would definitely consider renting again!

Best Vacation House

We can’t thank the owners of our house enough! I think this was one of our best family trips! The house was perfect! We had space to spread out. The owners thought of everything! We planned to cook a lot over our stay, so I brought a few items that I thought they’d never have and …they had it! From a blender to a crockpot, they thought of it all! We packed games and they had them! We will probably rent this one again! Thank you.

Lake Lure Family Vacation 2024

The house is beautiful, spacious, and has amazing views. We are a family of 10 and it accommodated us easily. The kitchen has everything you could ask for and the billiards table was a hit. If going with a large group take a couple extra towels. The few negatives had nothing to do with the house but with the lake. No jet ski's allowed and you have to pay to go to the beach. Also most things close by 9 p.m.

It’s great to know the kitchen had everything you needed, and that the billiards table was a hit! As for the lake rules and local hours, we understand how that can be an adjustment—though the peaceful atmosphere is part of what makes the area so special :) We’d love to host y'all again for another memorable stay. This house was easy to get to. The drive was not bad at all. The house was beautiful with nicer finishes. The floors and counters were clean. We enjoyed having the hot tub and pool table. We had a bear visit one day out back! There is plenty of room to spread out in the house. Having 2 kitchens was very nice! The area around Lake Lure is quaint. There are no chain restaurants, only local ones. The downtown area is mostly rebuilt, but there is still some construction in the area. That did not affect our stay at all. There were only a few minor things I would say were a little negative. The trees and bushes in the front area are a little overgrown and could use a trim. The 2 lounge chairs on the upstairs deck are damaged a little. The downstairs bathroom tub/shower has a huge step in/step down as it is a jetted tub. We managed it ok, but older people would definitely have a difficult time getting in/out of the shower. There were several hairs on the pillows in the downstairs bedroom (with one bed), and the couch in that room had crumbs under the arms of it, hidden by the throw pillows. You could tell the last occupants had a pet there, as there were dog hairs on the end tables and on the deck outside. None of these things ruined our stay, they are just the reason I didn't give 5 stars. The house is private, large, and easy to get to. We enjoyed our stay!
