Just 5 minutes to Sunset beach and 5-30 minutes from 25 prestigious golf courses, well-appointed "Walking on Sunshine" ground floor, end unit condo is the place you want to stay! With an abundance of windows, we offer you a bright, open, airy and beautifully remodeled, “home away from home" in a shaded private setting. You will find everything you need in our kitchen; upgraded white cabinets, pantry, granite countertops, stone backsplash, bar seating, and breakfast nook, with total seating up to 8 guests. Two/split private bedrooms, each with two queen beds, upgraded LVP flooring, a full bath and access to full size washer/dryer. Completely fresh bed linens and bath towels are provided for each guest’s personal stay.

Situated on hole #2 green in gorgeous Oyster Bay Golf Resort, be entertained as golfers’ chip onto the green while rocking on the wrap-around covered patio or sip coffee on the private screened porch, both offering entertainment and cool shade from the summertime heat. You may get the chance to see a gator in the complex pond while sitting on the covered patio as well.

The den has a smart 55 inch high-definition TV and a TV can be found in each bedroom as well; all with free access to YouTube TV and the ability to log into your own private apps. We are children friendly providing a pack and play with linens, highchair, books, games, beach toys and more. No need to add to your packing as a few adult beach chairs, beach towels for the kids, and travel cooler are already here! Feel free to take the bocce ball set to the beach for a competitive game with your friends and family. Enjoy the tennis and basketball court (racquets and basketball supplied) as well as the outdoor grilling and picnic area.

Should you care to lock your belongings in our safe while you are enjoying the area, the code to the safe will match the entry code to the condo.

Brochures of local restaurants and shops are provided in the condo "Welcome Book" for your reference and convenience. Area activities for children are also included.

You will be provided with a code for key-less entry and access just prior to your arrival date. Detailed instructions for check-in and check-out are provided in the unit "Welcome Book".

We require a copy of the renter's valid driver's license attached to the message and/or booking request. A copy of our rental agreement is to be completed as well. Even though you have access to instant booking, should your information not meet our booking requirements, you will be asked to cancel your booking request. This extra step helps assure we have quality renters who will take excellent care of our condo and have a wonderful experience.

"Walking on Sunshine" is personally managed by us, the owners. We have local maintenance should anything need to be addressed during your stay. We guarantee personalized service and communication the entire way! We welcome your suggestions as we would like for you to continue to make "Walking on Sunshine" your future personal beach getaway!

FISHERMAN AND BOATERS...with the convenience of Sunset Beach free boat ramp 3 minutes away, access to the Intracoastal Waterway could not be any easier. Located on the mainland side of Sunset Beach, the boating access area includes a boat ramp constructed by the Wildlife Resources Commission, a floating dock, breakwaters, a parking area, and a small public fishing pier. The boating access area is situated next to Sunset Beach Town Park.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE CHILDREN... Zipline, guided ATV, and swamp boat tours, in addition to an aerial adventure park are available just 10 miles away at Swamp Park. Obstacle Island (12.9 miles) offers a massive floating water playground which is home to monkey bars, climbing towers, slides and more. In addition, reach out to Sunset Adventure Tours for booking hours of kayaking. Want to play putt-putt? Numerous options are available from 5-8 minutes away with many more courses along the coastline south. Free movie nights are available in the summer months on Wednesdays at nearby Ocean Isle Park.

EVERYONE can enjoy the nestled cool shade of the Sunset Beach Town Park (3 minutes away) with a paved parking area, restroom facilities, a picnic shelter, family swings, a fishing pier and brick walkways that meander through the five acres of live oak trees. The Park is located on Sunset Blvd. North and overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway and Mary's Creek. The Park is also home to the Veteran's Memorial.

Want to cook or catch your own seafood? Bill’s Seafood on the mainland of Sunset Beach offers a fresh “off the boat” seafood market as well as bait, tackle, and sauces for your needs. They will also clean and fillet your catch and will pack on ice for convenient travel. Need fishing supplies? They have that too!

Just a 5-minute drive south is the small town of Calabash, known as the "Seafood Capital of the World." Try the local fare, go shopping in the quaint shops, catch a fishing voyage or dolphin cruise, or go to just relax and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the charming coastal town. You will find a few ice-cream parlors that MUST be enjoyed! You also do not want to miss out on The Bagel Dock Café or "Toasted" for an enjoyable breakfast experience.

Continuing south along the strand, is Little River, Cherry Grove, North Myrtle and Myrtle Beach providing access to every type of restaurant and retail shopping you could ever ask for. Another convenient 8 miles north is the town of Ocean Isle Beach where you will find more restaurants, a Dollar Tree, Publix, and a private airport. Between Sunset and Ocean Isle beaches, stroll among the many consignment and thrift stores because "one man's trash is another man's treasure."

Great property, location and service
We enjoyed our two week stay at this property and found it very comfortable and sufficient in space and amenities for 4 adults. The kitchen is well equipped for eating in, the large and small appliances all worked well, the large sink was nice and there’s lots of counter space for several people working together on meal prep. The dining space is good and the living room seating was comfortable and spacious enough for the 4 of us. In the bedrooms/baths, again lots of space, the toilets and showers worked well and there was lots of hot water when we all came in and wanted to shower at the same time. Our only slight complaint would be that the beds and mattresses were softer than any of us prefer. Also, these wood frame buildings really transmit the sound so, at times, the guys upstairs soundly like baby elephants on the move, but this is no fault of our owners, simply a reality of these Colony 1 buildings. It was also nice to be adjacent to the golf course and close to the ponds as there was always something to see. But one of the best aspects of the whole rental was the great service provided by the owner, Kim. She was very responsive to all my enquires when first booking and she went out of her way to help out when we were having trouble accessing TV service through YouTube TV. Many thanks to Kim who is clearly a very responsible owner and renter.

Pleasant walk on sunshine.
Everything was as promised (plus more) at the property. The welcoming snack was a nice touch. Absolutely one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. Condo was clean and ready as promised, location suited us to a "T" since we have mobility issues, ground floor was very nice. We would choose this property in a heartbeat if and when we would like to visit this area.

So relaxing
My husband and I had a wonderful month (March) vacationing at “”Walking on Sunshine”. Kim was great at communicating and we appreciated that they had everything we needed so as not to have to initially have to buy basic things like salt, coffee filters, garbage bags, dish & laundry soap/dryer sheets (which we replenished later). We enjoyed relaxing in the living room, watching the golfers and when my 2 yr old granddaughter came to visit for a long weekend with her parents, she loved watching the squirrels playing just outside the glass doors and throwing acorns in the pond nearby. There isn’t a ton of activity in sunset beach in March but we enjoyed golfing, walking on the beaches, shopping at Callahans, eating at Oyster Rock and Clark’s (in SC) and even seeing a show at Carolina Opry in Myrtle with friends. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend !

It is a comfortable, pleasant place to stay. Well decorated and homey. All the kitchen dishes and tools you might need ..IF you wish to cook! So many fun restaurants nearby, though. We enjoyed hosting guests ..ie..3 OIB .family members for a couple meals, and the occasional overnight + guests from other states.

My husband and I have four lovely girls and 6 grandchildren. We both grew up in Charlotte, NC and after moving and traveling with our jobs for a number of years, we settled into our first retirement home in Valle Crucis, NC. We reside in the mountains and high country near the home of the Mountaineers, at Appalachian State University, in Boone, NC. We purchased the home in 2010 (ahead of retirement) and rented it to travelers for 12 years before making it our personal home.

We always wanted a place in the mountains and a place at the beach. Buying this condo fulfilled our dreams. We plan to enjoy the beach and sun, peace, relaxation, golfing, boating, fishing, music, festivals, and MORE! A place to enjoy ourselves and have fun with family and friends, especially our grandchildren. We have great locally owned restaurants, seafood, ice cream shops, coffee bars, parks, and the convenience to retail but still far enough away that we still have our privacy in a serene setting. "Walking on Sunshine" meets our goals perfectly and we would like to share our dream with you.

Quiet ground floor (no stairs), end unit condo on the 2nd green in Oyster Bay Golf Resort provides the serenity you are looking for, yet only 5 minutes to Sunset Beach and to the Intracoastal Waterway. We were looking for an upscale, already remodeled condo that we could move right into with little to no work. This property is complete with upgraded kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, LVP flooring in main area and bedrooms, tile in baths, and stand-a-lone bath vanities, to name a few. With a bright and airy open floor plan, you never feel closed in or confined. Our home has two sliding glass doors (one on the back and one on the side of the unit) with additional windows throughout welcoming the outside in with every room. With the patio facing the golf course, pond with lighting and fountain, and in the direction of the ICW, it's a peaceful setting that we promise you will enjoy.
